Not positive on the year but I know he went to an all star game before Demitra showed up...

I forgot to add that Demitra and Gaborik have been out of the line-up this year equally and they are still winning. Yes, having him helps but even without him they were surviving. Koivu was gone for a while and they had a mini slump... That would be a supporting cast member that you were knocking earlier..
Well, here's a good stat for you. Last year the Wild went 15-18-2 without Gaborik and 33-8-6 with him and he still had 30 goals and 27 helpers. Pretty clear that the Wild need him in the lineup and I'm sure every other team out there would love to have him.

I would take a slightly above average player for a full year instead of an "all star" that plays half of a year and gets credit from everyone for being great. Also, its not like he doesnt have great set up players that get him the puck. Thank god he finishes right? It must be rough to get paid hundreds of millions of dollars to play a 50-60 games a season every year...
Sorry, but he makes everyone else better, not the other way around.

And until we picked up Demitra last year, he had one of the worst supporting casts of forwards in the entire NHL.

No circles at all.......you claimed he had a great supporting cast, but I maintain that the Wild had one of the worst forward groups in the league up until last year(if you exclude each team's best player.) I'm not going to argue this- just look at our pre-2006 rosters and compare them to playoff teams. And remember that Koivu and Bouchard have improved tremendously over the past two years.

Here is 05-06 to start:
http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/leag ... 12006.html
It gets funny when you go beyond that.......Alexandre Daigle led the team in points in 03-04 with 51!!!

That doesn't mean Gabby wasn't helping his linemates and teammates look and play above their mediocre talent level.....sinbin posted the record with and without Gabby last year, I think that pretty much settles any argument to the contrary...

"Last year the Wild went 15-18-2 without Gaborik and 33-8-6 with him."

That trend seems to be continuing this year as the Wild are 1-4 without him and 25-13-2 with him.

Crowley is not in the NHL. He is out of hockey playing in mens league. You may see him in the pond hockey tournament coming up.

He was put on waivers by Colorado, cleared and assigned to the AHL affiliate.
