here's looking elsewhere packerboy!

I don't know whatintheheii you're drinking there, Olaf Son of Thomas, but I'll get the first one for you, too.
My Norviegen ancestors got in a long boat and made their way through the North Sea. They landed in a rocky, hilly, green land just to get their heads smacked by my Scottish ancestors.
Long be known the tale of William Wallace and the men standing directly behind him when the wimpy englishmen were beat back to merry old eng-land.

Yep we norwegians started many a great nation. It may have been through raping and pillaging, but we planted the seeds
Akvavit (norse spelling) or aquavit (english) comes from the latin term meaning the water of life. I think the Irish whiskey uses the same latin root. Is distilled from potato or grain and seasoned with caraway seeds, anise, dill, fennel, and some other shet. 40-45% alcohol by volume. Is aged 1 to 12 years in oak barrels. It is suppose to begin it's aging process by being placed on a ship and must cross the equator at least two times before it can age on land.
The good stuff is hard to find here and what you can typically buy should be followed by a full bottle beer chaser.
vodka or tequila (no salt, no lime) iced-chilled straight up is typically my poison but for packerboy and ERE hitting the 4000 right after you did, I thought some special was in order.

Well, here it is
Say, isn't this the most
A special witto place
For the 4,000th post
Its been loads of fun
At times, spiritual and Divine
I have enjoyed every minute
From post #1 ... to 3,999
We've been on a Crusade
Had a scary Nightmare
Just Wait Until Lent
Was more tha many could bare
So much got locked out or moved
VS and bluesbuddy were banned
Such a creative tandem
Its hard to understand
But the bad times were not many
Not really, just a few
Mettin up at the Liffey
Its Like a Dream Come True
So, its all Up for Grabs
YES:It Can Happen , after all
We'll do another 4,000

If you look on a metro map, it is between Centennial and Hill Murray.

If you're ever driving on the High Road with PB & Denny Green, you'll pass right through. Don't blink - you may miss it.

Well now, there you go again.
It was nice of IS to show that picture of ole Ron. He was truly one of "The Great Ones" as I am sure our own "Great One "would agree.
Thank you all for this truly great award. Its something I will remember for as long as I can.
Least of all Id like to thank Mitch and Lee, without whom so much more would be possible.
But now lets move on to Lent and the battles that lie ahead. There is much to do.
"My fellow Americans, I am pleased to tell you I just signed legislation which outlaws Russia forever. The bombing begins in five minutes. "

As a medium for us to express opinions that some may passionately disagree with,
I agree its an udder failure.
But thanks for tugging at the leash! Like marriage, if you don't it only gets shorter.
