Didn't Burnsville also lose to Mahtomedi? A top 10 AA team should not be losing to a single A team, even if they are missing people.

Early in the season Burnsville was not only missing some senior players, they were also experimenting with line combinations and trying out different ideas. They were rotating 3 goalies and moving kids around virtually every game. That is what good teams do as they give players a chance to earn spots and prepare for the 2nd half of the season.
Burnsville now has everyone back and they have settled in on their line combinations. They are getting solid production from all 3 lines and have more balance than last year. That is why they have a winning streak like they do starting since Schwann cup. If you will remember, they had a similar approach last year and rode it through sections.
Burnsville will beat Rosemount by a minimum of 4 goals and take the conference.

i guess we will have to see who the better team is next saturday. i agree, regardless of momentum, both teams have an equal chance to win this game.

That's a very bold statement considering these 2 teams are both talented groups.

Was it before or after the Schwann Cup that the Irish beat the Blaze.

You're obviously new to the forum, and you're only other post has to do with Northfield. Anybody see a connection here?
I'm sure the boys of Rosemount are not even paying attention to this game yet, seeing how I talk to them everyday at school. They have LN tomorrow. Which might I add, was a close game last time they played. Also they have EP on the 12th, which is important for them to win, if they want this game against Burnsville to be the conference championship game.

Winning the Lake Conference is nothing but a nice title to have. If you ask either of these teams I can assure you that if given the choice between LC champs and section champs, theyd take section champs. That doesnt mean that they arent going to give it there all and that this wont be a phenomonal game but which ever team loses needs to realize its not the end of the world. And that advice is directed more at Rosemount because Burnsvilles been here before. They had a great streak last year and went to state but they also lost 10 games and didnt win the Lake and Im sure non of them care. But Rosemount this is the first time theyve been a really good team and they dont have kids who have been there and faced alot adversity on the ice before. Plus, from what Ive heard (Ive only seen about 5 Rosemount games this year) they dont react to adversity during the game very well. They start to get chippy and run around a little bit which hurts them.

My appologies Koho I didnt mean to make it a comparison to see who lost to a "worse" opponent or whatever, but what I failed to mention was that I was merely TRYING (but i didnt) to say that on any given night anyone can beat anyone as Rosemount had momentum coming off an 8 game winning streak. It comes down to who works harder and wants it more..I understand where the loses were in the seasons but thats what I was trying to relay in my message but failed to!
But yes this is when teams want to be playing there best, BEST hockey and Burnsville is running on all cylinders riding a solid winning streak, but like I said its going to come down to who works harder! As well as who can stay out of the box because both teams have phenominal players who can kill teams on the PP..But once again these two teams have 2 games before this to worry about! Hopefully they can make this Lake conference title race a doozy eh\:D/

Rosemount beat LN tonight 8-5 (en). They dominated the first period but after that they didnt play very well, but they won because of the power play. I believe all there goals except one and the EN goal were on the power play.
Goals I can remember..
Rosemount-Brown, Percy 3,
LN-Vivant, Clemons
the rest I dont really remember
The reffing for this game was pretty bad but not really one sided. They made some questionable calls on both teams and it wasnt like they were calling everything either they were very inconsistent and that is what bothers me with refs. They did miss one blatant penalty against Rosemount when a kid got checked from behind head first into the boards.
And to those people talking up Rosemounts student section, they have to be kidding because although they did have alot of kids they didnt get one sustained cheer going and probably got the loudest when the kid got hit from behind into the boards (see above).
If Rosemount plays like this against Burnsville then it will be an easy game for BV to win.
BV-4
Rose-1

Yeah, that game was hard to watch, very bad game.
They will need to bring their A game to both the EP game and the Bville game.
I am pulling for RSMT to win, 3-2 in OT
N vs. R

Not to be picky but the Rosemount goals were scored by Percy (3) Brown (2) Porter (1) On the EN McManus (1) and Markiewicz I believe (1)

I think that Rosemount has weak goaltending and will loose the game because of it I got Burnsville winning 5-3. In a sold out place!

Weak Goaltending? He stopped 2 D-1 recruits last game at Burnsville and their only goal was scored by Comstock a Junior he was on fire till late where he hit a bad bump. You obviously no little about Rosemount because Morgan isn't all that week yeah he has had some bad games but so has the Burnsville Goalies after losing to Eagan 4-0. Yes South beat the Irish I know that so don't state it in your next post.

im liking the consistency of the burnsville goalie becker right now. Morgan obviously has the skill to beat any team but now is not the time to get inconsistent and allow 4+goals a game. Blame it on the rosemount D if you want, fact is, goaltending wins championships.

Morgan has had some inconsistency in what the past 3 games? Goalies have off nights it happens. If it is in a row it is inconsistency if you want to see Morgan play a great game go to Eden Prarie it should be a great game, and Morgan knows what he has to do. The fact is, any goalie can have a off night the Irish have an 18-5 record and Morgan has been a part of 20 of those games and I believe he is 15-5 on the season it's not that bad of a record show the guy some respect it's not just you Koho the only thing I wanted to let you know was the incosistency yes 3 games is not that great but 2 of the 3 games they won. Goalies have great games, and then there is bad games. It happens ask the Burnsville goalies.

Well I'm hoping both teams come into this game with the same conference record to add to the game. I'm going to go with Burnsville winning it 4-3. JT will get his chances and get a goal or two because Burnsville has the D that will give him those chances. If Barnes/Hendo/Persic are clicking though they will get there fair share. I don't think Rosemount can have that man hanging high like they do sometimes that may open up to much for Burnsville's forwards to work with.

I believe it was last night that the goalie for the Philadelphia Flyers gave up 7 goals in a game. Every goalie at every level has off nights. Frazee is a prime example of having nights off. It's the ability to bounce back from a few rough games that makes a goalie great.

Maybe if Rosemount played a little different D zone then Morgan wouldnt face so many shots during a game. Im not positive but I would be willing to bet that Rosemount gives up more shots than most of the teams in the Lake. Can anyone confirm this?

Sorry thought I saw Comstock as A Junior on the roster vs. Rosemount. Thanks for correcting me.
