Haha yeah. Zero logic. I was merely making the assumption based on the past years' section tournament at the Coliseum. It has been a WB/HM battle the last couple of years and that they crowd for that game is pretty wild. It really isn't out of the realm of possibility for it to happen again. Govs, I'm sorry it was written clearly enough for you to comprehend. I just figured I didn't have to spoon feed it to you ;)

You don't.. I already told you that I understood your logic. Dumb luck. Check.

Hard to beat the double headers that are the norm for the DECC.

We can all hope that the Halloween Machine plays the Tornadoes followed by Lumberjacks and Hounds!!!
What a great day of hockey that could be.
Full house at the DECC

I'll say Super Saturday at the DECC. A packed house for the 7AA semi's followed by UMD/CC this year, talk about a good day for hockey!

That scenario won't happen. It will be East/CEC first, then GR/Anoka.

Anyways, the 1 seed vs. 4/5 winner is the 11:00 AM game. the 2 seed vs. the 3 seed is the 1:00 PM game.

The Rec Center in Rochester on semi-final day.

The 1AA section semifinals will not have the state's best teams, but could be very exciting and competitive games with possibly very large crowds.

The 1A semifinals that day will be great! I guarantee that those will be some very good teams.

All and all, a fan could see FOUR very exciting games in one day at the same venue.

Both GR and CEC need to step up a little or they will both be spectators at the semis.
I don't think the gap between them and Elk River or Flake is big enough to assume anything.
They best take it one game at a time.

I would have to go with the Coliseum. The student sections for the WB/Roseville game that we would assume would take place should be huge. WB wins the first one, Roseville kicks butt in the second one, and the third one ends up in a tie. That should be a fun game to watch and i doubt you will have to worry about noice in that one.

Not section 1AA, probably the least attended of any AA section final the last 3 or 4 years. Some years no bands, no cheerleaders, even a JM/Century game in 2005 couldn't fill the place.

This year you may hear crickets at the AA games, Century has been outdrawn at home recently by Winona, JM, Albert Lea, and White Bear Lake. Mayo draws flies, and JM (whom has only won 3 games and still draws better than any of the other 3 teams in town) will be out after the quarterfinals, leaving the 2 Lakeville schools - North has brought less and less people over the years, maybe South will bring a bunch with it being their first time making it this far. Owatonna should draw alright as well, at least they do for everyother sport.

In 1A, Red Wing and Northfield bring a bunch, Lourdes draws flies, Albert Lea doesn't bring many but those that do show are the most passionate and knowledgable fans; going by other sports I don't expect much from New Prague or West but if they make it to the finals they might bring a ton as it would be either schools first trip to state.

Gov,
if you think Dewey Wahlin, Stan Blom, Greg Pogreba and Joe Ricci are going to walk through that door to get Johnson to state, it ain't happening.

(Google knows everything..... even Johnson hockey)

What in the world are you talking about?

I must be getting worse at conveying my sarcasm.

That's my attempt at sarcasm. I'm rootin' for the Governors to upset the Pioneers too.

Maybe? But one thing is for sure, they will keep the streak alive of playing the most games on campus then any other team in MN history.

I'll concur. The Coliseum with the WB/Roseville/HM (old School) games - you couldn't beat the atmosphere.

I have no doubt that WBL will be in the section championship. Question is? When will they actually win a section championship? Don't they have a history of choking in these type of games? :-$

No. I think that is the state quarter final games.

Sorry.

Looking forward to the coliseum...the semifinals and title game always bring out great crowds. Something about that place being old helps bring out the history of all the classic H-M/WBL battles.
