Depending on how their first year players step up Minnetonka should have a pretty good team next year. Besides them I would look for Eden Prairie, Edina, Burnsville, and Apple Valley to be solid in District 6.

I think he is the best on his team. I know AJ Reid went to St.thomas and seems to do just fine as a Ninth grader. Zajac could play Varsity next year and he would do just fine. They both dominated at PWA level and will continue to do so. Don't Playa hate. One year at Bantams is all they need

What are you his coach? If you are, has he had that good of a year that he could play where at varsity? Eagan ????? Does he have good work habits??? Will he work hard in the off season to get better???? Domination at the PWA does not translate into a varsity player. He seems to be a above average first year player in skills. But he does not seem to use his teammates very well. He would be better off with one more year at Bantams instead of a year at JV.

Zajac is a good player, but to say he dominated PW A last year is a stretch.

Peewee "A" performance from 2 years ago would say next year's Bantam A powers would be: Wayzata, Apple Valley and Eagan...but rumor has it that A/V high school team will dismantle said Squad so we'll never know...
With Wayzata's sweep of the Peewee A and Peewee B state championships in 2006/2007 they'd have to be odds on favorite to be there at the end. Eagan??? They were great PWA team, and huge but don't know much beyond that. I think next year is the year where EP is weak relatively speaking. Look out for 'Tonka as well.

What did Eagan do last year at the Pee wee A's. I do not think they made it out of regions. They were good but great????

What is the god almighty hury to get to high school? Most freshman play less during games than they would at bantams, not to mention the difference in number of games played. There will always be a FEW players ready for the jump but the vast majority would be better served staying put. I'm familiar with all the players mentioned in this thread and each has some of the skills required to play varsity. None have all required. Can you see Derek Smith handling Buddish in front of the net..all 125 pounds of him. Michealson is an exceptional skater but how bout the the physical part of the game..one big hit can ruin a kid. Zajac is big and strong and would probably survive the best but how much of the time would he have the puck? 70 games spent as a dominating player is in my opinion a better choice. 3 years of high school hockey works just fine. I say again, whats the hurry?

There should be no rush....There really are not any first year bantams that need to move up. Yes, some do make a impact like..Ben Marshall, Nick Bjugstadt and Travis Boyd. But for the most part they are 3rd line (if that).
Zajac is a good player but not like Ben Marshall. Zajac is definitely is not a team player. Coach J has no idea what he is talking about.

I see your point and agree. I guess some people want to rip a kid for no reason. I have coached AGAINST ZAJAC. I think he will be a great High school player. Some people on here want to tear down a kid. I don't know him personally, I just know that everyteam he is on seems to be up in the rankings. He has size and you can't teach size. If he works hard in the offseason, Why wouldn't he have a shot at Varsity?

I agree, Smith and Michaelson are awesome players but i dont think they will be able to handle the physical play unless they hit a big growth spurt. I think Michaelson's speed will help him. And Smith's smarts and vision of the ice will help him if they play varsity. Zajac on the other hand could handle the physical play.

Top three teams next year, Apple Valley, Wayzata and Minnetonka all gonna be good

just to let all of you know, zajac is injured. i was told he broke a disc in his back. this hasnt been confirmed besides for the fact that he is injured.

I think the Stillwater team will be up there...they may be getting a couple kids from the 94 Fire, which are all solid. Add those kids to the returning and future...theyre good

There is the 5 returning from this year and several on the bantam b1 team that is going to state. I agree they will be small but they know how to play and move the puck very well. They will be a force in D6 next year just keep your eyes open.

If everyone stays down on Apple Valley, they will have 11 kids returning. And they have a couple of really good first years.
