Thank you George. Sitting in Edina's student section for a hockey game can really drive a guy toward hatred. I hope that is a standing ovation because I just stood up in my school's library and started hollering i'm the greatest while bowing a few times.

Cause I know that Minnetonka/Hopkins is at 12 at Braemar, can I get in for the same price? That would be a better deal. I know in years past they have made people pay twice.
It's the MSHSL. They squeeze every penny they can get. If they could charge for parking, they would do that too. Expect to pay a minimum of $6 per game. That's what I paid last night for a quarter final game.

After you guys fail to win state again this year i'll be sure to come to the Galleria and toast a good but disappointing season with a Bud Light.

We do not allow Bud Light at the Galleria. You are upsetting "Cake Nation".

Shots of your choice on me if my Stars pull this one off. I only hope they keep it close. This Edina team has no flaws (other then the coaching).
If this should happen you might find me at the Richfield Legion.

I'll be there but after the shots we will have to go to the Galleria and do a victory dance.

How about this, 9 out of 10 true high school hockey fans prefer Bud Light over wine and champagne

Now why did you need to bring up wine and champagne???? You cannot possibly be assuming that is the drink of choice in cake town.
We all like barley and hops more than grape juice.
You are really getting under the skin of the "Cake Nation". Cease and desist now or else.

So I wouldn't be shunned I snuck in a Bud to the Galleria? I'll switch the topic back to what its supposed to be for now but I can't guarantee this won't come up again. Would it not be ironic if AHA pulled off this upset and made it to state being they were in Edina's situation last year? Thats what is going to happen.

I don't see it happening, but Yes, it can happen! AHA is a really good team with a good (albeit short) tradition.
AHA is also well coached which I cannot say for Edina.

I would never want to play Edina @ Mariucci! Yeah AHA is fast but have you seen Gleason and the Gaarders those guys fly! Also Budish, Lee and Everson would be dominant with space to work the puck even if they are "power forwards."
Edina 6-2

They charge for both games. They will clear the arena. Should still be $6. I found out today that they were pre-selling tickets for the 2 games at BIG so I went ahead and got mine. Someone picked them up for me. I may go to Braemar and watch the Tonka/Hopkins game at noon first.....

Just curious who the rest of the state would like to see win. I'm torn between the private school and the kid who used to play for St Thomas. But everyone hates edina and private schools. So, if the majority of fans could choose, who would they have win?
Growing up in the northland I'd have to say AHA. I'm not a fan of private schools, but I'd cheer for anyone over Edina. That being said Edina is one of the best teams I've seen this year, but you never know. Should be a good game, hope to be there.
Does anyone know why the other 2AA semi is at Braemer? You'd think they'd play them both at the same place.

They play these games at a neutral site, and Jefferson is in the other 2AA semi.

So there isn't any home ice advantage with Bloomington playing in the other game.

That makes sense. Do they always split them between BIG/Braemer or just when Edina and Jefferson are involved? They always have the 7AA semis/championship at the DECC, which is great atmosphere and probably the most logical place, but it is kind of a home game for East who is always there. Hasn't helped them the last few years though.

No, usually there are several playoff games held at BIG/Braemer every year, for example Minnetonka plays Hopkins at Breamer at noon Tomorrow, and BSM plays EP at BIG around 3:30. I thinks they do this because both rinks have alot of seating, but im sure there are more reasons as well. Also the 8AA section Championship game is played at SCSU.
