Yup, just keep under estimating em.....By noon on Wednesday you'll be eating crow for lunch
By noon Wednesday, West fans are going to be wondering what the sightlines are like at Mariucci.

If you want to maintain a positive outlook, DM has a good chance at Consolation Champs with their second game coming against Litchfield

If you want to maintain a delusional outlook, you might as well pick Litchfield to dump Warroad, too.

IF and i mean IF west loses to DM on Wednesday they will not lose on Thursday. They arguably could have received the #4 seed and should not be overlooked. If you had seen any games you might be so ignorant the the talent they are bringing to the tourney.

This match-up has Little Falls-Hermantown from '07 written all over it. Same scenario, with two chump teams (West and LF) having a couple of great scorers, and having played nobody all year. Little Falls had a nice start, but by the middle of the 3rd period, the Hawks were double-shifting their 4th line.

I think west will come out with a physical game that will catch DM off guard. And west has more than 2 goal scorers. yes litchfield and leivermann have carried the load, but the games i've seen them play this year have not been only those two burying the puck.

And DM's section final game was not the strongest i've seen them play. not to say that west had a good section final game either, but marshall looked shakier than hermantown did last year.

Maybe you have seen other people score for west, because they only play the worst teams in the state of hockey!! GO TOPPERS

Not their fault they aren't in northern mn. they play some bad teams but they don't lose to them as is not case with some of the other class A teams in the tourney. averaging over 7 goals a game no matter who you play is no small feat.

If they are averaging over 7 goals a game there is no way that they could ever play any even decent teams they are awful they don't have a chance at winning at all!!!!!

I might take you more seriously if you had ever seen them play. until then your ridiculous line of crap will be ignored. Can't wait for Wednesday...

Ok, so Hermantown won is all last year, so i guess by shaky you mean DM is going to win the championship game....

i mean the hawks didn't look shaky last year and played a great tournament, and DM didn't look as strong as hermantown did last year therefore their chances of winning the championship are not as good.

Mayo 6 Hibbing 1 (West 6 Mayo 1)
Marshall 4 Hibbing 3 OT
Marshall 3 Denfeld 2
Albert Lea 3 Denfeld 2 (West 5 Albert Lea 2)
Lourdes 9 Blake 5 (West 3 Lourdes 1)
Marshall deserved the #1 seed, but I wouldn't be betting the farm on their first game.
Although these third-party games don't really mean anything, and you can't really argue for them... I think this will be a better game than people think. One, Marshall's gotta be a little cocky. This is their fourth year in a row. I think if West scores early in this game, it could be trouble for DM. Next, West really isn't that bad. Although Marshall probably has more stamina and endurance, West could give them a run for their money. Third...
Anything can happen! Go west!

I guarantee West loses. West did not deserve no 4 seed. LF would of had the seed before West considering they beat Lourdes when they played them in the regular season and West split with Lourdes. Also LF has been ranked above West all year. Neither of the teams should of been in front of St. Cloud anyways. And West will not even stand a chance because their breakout consists of flicking the puck 50 feet up in the air and having their forwards chase it. That may of worked against these 1A defenseman but definately will not work against this DM team. They are way to fast and physical. We all know when a team puts the body on West they sit in the sin bin all game long. i dont see any first round upsets in single A its a little different then AA. But Dano Jocques, Landon Olson, Scott Michela, Derek Stauber, and the tender Willie Paul are just to good for L&L to shoot the zone all game.
oh ya. west's goalie better watch out for Dano's snipe we all seen that performance last year he put on Crandall from STA whose now playing USHL.
DM- at least 5
West- at most 2

I'm thinking upset on this one, with West winning a tight game by 1. On another note, I didn't realize that West wasn't the #1 seed in section 1A. How in the world did Lourdes get seeded above them?

West would be better served to skip getting blown out on Wednesday and show up fresh at Mariucci Thursday morning.
