I think it does count...or it should. High school hockey is a source of community pride and it has been for years. I see no reason why a whole community shouldn't count. Cloquet. They'll bring it. Warroad. Same thing.
Many communities consist of former students and alum, and I think that counts. It may not be TRUE student sections, but time and time again, you see it. Whole communities that bring that spirit. You even see it in sectional games.
I'm not trying to take anything away from those communities, but this thread is about student sections, which I defined in an earlier post.
