Do you think it would be cool to have a student color who knows what's going on? Or would that just be ludicrious?
Either way, I will have thier jobs in the near future.

I'll take Spehar and Crowley for the afternoon games. And maybe Woog and Lou for the night cap.

An impossibility, my drink could never be too strong. Maybe Housley's drink is too strong.
Housley is gonna go nuts today trying to find something good to say about Edina. Does anybody remember his on-air fight with Nanne last year regarding the SSP v. Edina West game???
Nanne gave him the classic "sit down and shut up".

Listening to Phil is the most awful part of the State Tournament. It sounds like they gave the mic to a retard. He says the most obvious things like "There not going to score unless they get some shots on goal" Oh really?!? haha and "If they don't start making better passes they are going to be intercepted" hmmm thats interesting I didn't know that...

And one more thing... I'm not a Marshall fan but I am sick and tired of people pronouncing Dano Jacques last name wrong. Its not that hard!! Its pronounced just like the Wild's coach Jacques Lemire!!!

Phil's not at fault here - you have to blame the parents for giving the kid two first names! Sooooo confusing....
Seriously, I had read some of the comments here before watching the afternoon games, which I had recorded yesterday. I don't think Phil lived up to ALL of the negative press he's been getting here. But then on the other hand I don't think ESPN is in his future if the coaching thing doesn't work out for him.

nanne has to be one of the worst i have ever seen or heard for lack of knowledge on hockey. i find it amazing someone could be around the sport as much as him and be so blind. last night during the st.cloud game after like the first period and a half he was asked so after watching these two teams this much who would you give the edge too? nanne replies well st.cloud is playing better position and defense however blake has alot more skill and scoring potential. what game was he watching. ANYONE watching that game could clearly tell the dam was gona break any minute!!!!! st.cloud dominated that game from start to finish.

P-Nutz I've been reading this forum for better than a year now, and iv'e read some of the comments you've made on different subjects and i'm not sure if 1. You live in a cave or 2. You've got manure for your brains. Everyone but you seems to think Mr. Housley does a lousy job. We have right to complain. Correct? Why should we be subjected to this every year? He's there for 1 reason. The same reason he's coaching. His name. I for one don't think he's particularly good at either. You must be relation? That's all i can think of.. Bring back Joe Boyle & Roger Buxton..

Nice handle !
3 posts and one is critical of another poster Hmmmm.
In Nutz defense, there's always something to complain about.
I thought it was a funny comment, and you proved his point!

This topic should be the preemptive I spy a really stupid thing come out of an announcer's mouth.
Housley when talking about why Baker's goaltending's effective: " he just lets the puck hit him".
Gee thanks Housley...

Reading for 3+ years and Mom finally gave you the OK to post. Nice! Those Sylvan sessions must be working your reading and posting Awesome for you!
Now on to other items.
Sign-up and tell Channel 45 you will do the commentary for free, as we know they are losing money every year by giving us these telecasts. I am sure you would do a much better job. As for his coaching when was the last time Stillwater had a youth team play or win anything past Regionals? I have yet to see where they are PRESEASON ranked and expected to win it all. They had a roller coaster season knocking off Roseville and WBL ain't bad. Again you guys are the ones putting Housley on a pedestal to worship and think just because of his name his team should win and everything that comes out of his mouth should just flow like butter. Woog sounds like he's half in the bag during gopher games and half the other guys you are talking about couldn't keep up with the game any more. Nanne has his days but you know what I like listening to ALL OF THEM. It is part of what makes this so fun to watch and someday be a bigger part of if my kids get the chance to make it. Why is Darby doing It? How about Sagisor?
As for his coaching unless you have a kid playing for him WHAT DOES IT MATTER TO YOU? I do have a kid playing for him and he is very happy with the coaching he has gotten from Mr Housley. So Sirus I think mommy has the Mac and Cheese ready for you. Maybe next year she will let you stay up for the late games.

Really no intensity at all from Phil and Clay, its like watching the Sporting class in the 2008 Westminster dog show. Someone needs to give Lou a raise and force him to do both sessions.

Could you imagine him after 4 games in a day? Those gin blossums would be in full bloom.

Virus-Don't waste your time. Puk-in-the-nutz will "baby talk" you in circles. He doesn't have much intelligent to say. The rest of us just let him ramble, as we look the other way. We figure this forum keeps him off the street, and out of trouble. If he had any "nutz" he would simply admit his boy Housley should stay home next year and study game film, so his Ponies can stay out of the cellar..

Nice engrish there Al. So AL, why aren't you doing the commentary? I am sure a guy with your vast hockey knowledge would do a much better job. Who else is going to do it? We have had Darby and Sagisor now Phil, yes they all have their days but really who else? I am sure you might have some intelligent to say!

Pack-I respect your team, fans, community and the tradition at SSP. I was pulling for them in sections. But is this a conisedence or just mearly an accident? Housley and Welch are both ex Packers. Right? Both lousey coaches. Both have all but destroyed their respective programs. I would have to assume Russ Welch with his "school girl" voice and "childish antics" probably won't shed much more insight on the games than what were stuck with already.. Suggestion? Bob Kurtz & Walley Shaver.
