Foss had the better year last year, larson struggle a bit i think. deguiseppi had an up and down year in bantams this year so id say its completely up in the air so whoever works harder this summer and has a good tryout will make the team but i think we all can agree that underwood will start a majority of the games so the other wont play much.
as far as the coming sophmores i think matt how, pat moore and zach dick will do just fine, might take them a bit to get used to the faster and more skilled level. they will be the ones carrying the team in a few years along with skrbek, schulte, merrit, and klienendorst

That would surprise me but I guess it surprised me this year too. If it isn't Rapids I hope it's Cloquet.

I figured GR had a good shot at a 3-peat, until both Kosak and Rendle got hurt.

I'll add too that it's important for the players to work hard in the offseason. Just remember as soon as you let up or take a day off, there is an opportunity for your opponents to out work you. And let's not just put this on the skaters, but the goalies as well. Goalies like AJ Underwood are already very good, but don't be satisfied with being just "very good", strive to be as invincible as possible.

just NOT cloquet or rapids (boblee) both of your teams would be another poor representative two and out is embarassing for section 7AA fans

Except for when GR took home consecutive 2nd place trophies. Real poor representative

East, 3 years in a row with no appearance in the section finals. HA HA.

Grand Rapids has never gone two and out at state in the history of their program.

And East has never been defeated by seven or eight goals in a state tournament game. If you're going to start tossing state tournament history around, boblee, make sure someone else can't come back with a little factoid such as that.

Well, you know, I thought it was time for a little levity. Image. The intensity of those rivalries is what makes 7AA so much fun to watch. Nuttin' like a little smack talk between seasons to keep things fresh.

No, in 1988 they lost to Duluth Denfeld in the consolation final, in 1991 they lost to Burnsville in the third place game.

Regardless if they lose Tardy (jr's), Arbour (jr's) and/or Forbert (USA) they should take the section. If none of the three mentioned above leave home the Hounds will be a dangerous team next year

East is Dangerous every year from Squirts to High School, they just have a tough time getting through a very Dangerous section, Cloquet, GR, & now the city teams, ER, Anoka, etc: they will always add a couple very good Bantam players every year, and maybe a move in or two would'nt hurt.
