Maybe there just aren't that many good '93 players on the JV or V squads. In small communities more younger kids make the HS teams but the programs aren't as deep. In big communities, very few can even make the V squad and many don't allow 9th graders on JV due to numbers. Typically the younger kids who make Varsity in 9th grade from big hockey towns are either exceptional players or really well connected (usually the former).

i've read the opinions on potential problems with the selection process. and that debate will no doubt continue.
what are the opinions on the value to a player/goalie in attending the 15s st cloud camp. do the kids come out better at the end of the week?
