In reply to someone wondering which tournament Buffalo was in, this I can say. I just got home from the tournament in Grand Rapids today and Buffalo was there with a limited number of players.

GR Summer Tourney
Buffalo 0-3 8th place
Greenway 1-2 7th place (GW had 6 players from GR suited up. 1 JV from last year, 5 Bantams moving up. Apparently, GW did not have enough to field a team.)
Consolation Final GR over Hibbing 4-3 (Physical, chippy game)
3rd Place Fergus Falls over Alexandria (Didn't see score, running time though)
Final Rogers over TRF (Sure Rogers won, were up 5-1 after 1 and dominating when I left)

The Lost City knows where it is. We keep it lost to confuse the riff-raff, aka - Rogers.

The truth is it's a Wisconsin sub division, so they don't get city status.

Don't know all the players in Cloquet but not too many that will be playing varsity this year.
In Grand Rapids Buffalo had 3 8th graders, 4 kids who were bantam age last year and 4 who will be juniors this year....none with any varsity experience....9 skaters!!!!! I wouldn't put too much into the results....

They did bring 4 Sr's in for Sat. from Cloquet, at least that's what I heard.
I couldn't say for sure! Rogers never played Buffalo up there.
Anyway...
That's what summer tourneys are for, to expose the up and coming players to the HS game, and give kids a chance to get back on the ice.

Not 4 but they did bring in 3 for the 8:00 am game on Saturday morning...and with them they gave second place TRF a good game (lost 3-2)!

So one was a Jr?
I heard they had a really light bench at cloquet also..is that accurate?
Better to go light and play a lot if your not concerned about the outcome.
Not much fun to play with 20 kids, Rogers had 14 skaters.

No there were only 3 total. Would you like names?
Think about it...after a Friday night game, not too many kids wanting to get up at 6:00 am to ride from Cloquet to play at 8:00 am, ride back and play another game in Cloquet!

Nope names not needed, 3 it is.. I was going off what I heard so it appears they counted one kid twice before telling me
I 'd say that's pretty nice of em to make the drive.

Well I wouldn't give them too much credit...the way they looked when they walked in they looked like they weren't given alot choice!
