Following the Wild's 5-3 debacle against Ottawa, Michael Russo was on KFAN this morning with his thoughts.

About 3/4 of the way through. The man is beyond an elite hockey mind.

I think that was the best all around full game of hockey that the Wild have played all year. They needed this win badly and tonight won't be any differen't. My prediction 4-2 Wild. Owen Nolan and Brunnette will get the goals.

I think your game by game updates are underutilized. haha.

People must have other ways of finding out the Wild scores.

6. Columbus 76GP 86PTS
7. Nashville 76 84
8. St. Louis 76 83
9. Anaheim 76 82
10. Edmonton 76 81
11. Minnesota 76 80

It's not impossible to sneak in there, but they're going to need to get at least nine points in the last six games. Get 'er done boys.

Going to be an interesting offseason. I assume Gabby will be gone trying to feed his family. SO what do the Wild do to improve the team. I think they need to make some moves to get a couple guys who can score.

Jacques officially announced he won't be back with the Wild tonight. It's bittersweet in my mind. He is a great coach, but his defensive tendencies might have kept a few players from signing here over the years.

He is a great hockey mind. But, maybe a new coach will bring a new era of Wild hockey that includes more 5-4 games than the 3-2 meat grinders we have had since the Wild's expansion year.

I wish the best to Jacques, and I hope the Wild can somehow keep him in the organization.
