i think that the exchange program knows that they play hockey and try to put them either out east or in minnesota and if worse comes to worse there's always wisconsin . the difference with hockey is that there are only a few states where the kid could still play, where as if the kid plays soccer, tennis, golf, baseball, ect, they can put him just about anywhere and he can still play. i have no idea what im talking about and this is alll speculation.

Why didn't they go to Nebraska? Have you ever seen Nebraska? I'm not sure I'd go there even if I was a foreign exchange student specializing in agriculture. I mean, it's a large, uglier version of Iowa.

most exchange students come so that they can learn the basic lifestyle of an american, and also have the opportunity to learn in an american school. there are programs set up within families that are willing to take a foreign exchange student in. i am sure if a kid wants to go to america and learn for a period of time, is a hockey player wants to continue playing they can find a way to work it out. i dont understand what all the hoopla is about

Funny thing - I'm from Nebrask. Very close to Kearney. And the best part of that is that I'm FROM Nebraska, and not IN Nebraska. It's a great place to be from... I wouldn't got there either as an exchange student. (too funny!)
