The Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network announces that it will not be broadcasting the Warroad Warriors versus Thief River Falls Prowlers Boys Hockey Game tonight, January 8th, 2009. A decision was made by Border Broadcasting of Warroad, MN to not broadcast the event themselves and the organization will be picking up a radio feed from KTRF Radio of Thief River Falls, MN to be presented on their radio network. KTRF provides their own LIVE audio-stream of Thief River Falls High School events on their website, www.trfradio.com/sports.html and to not conflict with the service of the broadcasting station, tonights game will not be available on www.MnSportsNetwork.com. If you are interested in listening to a broadcast of this game, please visit www.trfradio.com/sports.html. KTRF's pregame coverage is set to begin at 7:05 pm. The MSBN Full Schedule is available via it's website at www.MnSportsNetwork.com.

A couple of good, if not great, if not one of the biggest boys hockey match-ups in the sport, is tonight on http://MnSportsNetwork.com.

I will start with the under-card of tonight's games, with the Eastview Lightning (8-5-0) taking on the Wayzata Trojans (9-3-1) from Plymouth Ice Arena in Plymouth, MN. This game is scheduled for 7:00 pm and can be found on MSBN - The Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network. It's a Lake versus Classic Lake (for now) battle of athletic powerhouse schools in the Twin Cities Metro going at it in what should be a fantastic game.

The Main Event of tonight's hockey action on http://MnSportsNetwork.com has two Welterweight sized schools with Heavyweight power competing in one of the biggest rivalries in all of sports history in the state of hockey. The Roseau Rams (6-5-2) head Northeast on Highway 11 to take on the Warroad Warriors (12-1-0). This Class AA versus Class A hockey tilt has more drama and meaning than what's just on the ice. The Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network will have two very good hockey broadcasts on this evening as it is rivalry night on MnSportsNetwork.com. In Game 1, a rematch of last years Section 4A Semifinal has the Totino-Grace Eagles (12-5-2) lead by senior captain Dan Delisle (UMD Recruit) traveling to Mendota Heights to take on Christian Isackson (GOPHERS recruit) and the Saint Thomas Academy Cadets (15-3-1). This battle of private schools could be a preview of a future playoff contention in about a month as these are some of the top teams in Section 4A. STA defeated T-G by a score of 6-2 in that section semifinal game last season.

In Game 2, it is Round 2 of one of the state's biggest rivalries TONIGHT as the Warroad Warriors (18-2-0) coming off a strong, but close weekend against two Duluth schools at home with a 3-1 win versus Marshall School of Duluth and a 2-1 OT win versus Duluth Denfeld; will travel to the home of the Rams as Roseau (9-7-2) will play host to their Mariucci Conference rival. The Roseau Rams picked up two wins on shutouts over the weekend with a 4-0 victory over Crookston and a 6-0 win versus St. Cloud Tech, both games were at Roseau Memorial Arena. TONIGHT'S game should be a battle no matter what the score is. Warroad defeated Roseau by a score of 5-2 earlier in the season on January 15th at Gardens Arena in Warroad.

Just one week after the Roseau Rams and St. Cloud Tech Tigers faced each other in Roseau, the teams meet again, this time in St. Cloud. After their victory last night over the Buffalo Bison the Rams are right back at it heading up I94 for a Matinee game.
