I'll say 4-2 East. They looked real good on Tues.
CEC won't back down though. Should be closer than most think.

Impressive win by East marred by an ugly ending. I was going to say this was the most dull East-Cloquet game in years, but they made sure there was something memorable.

I'd appreciate full details on what happened after the game from an eyewitness. It was obviously hard to follow via radio, especially when trying to talk on the phone at the end.

It'll be interesting to see what possible consequences this game has.

That is not good for East I guess the officials were righting down names East plays back to back games monday and tuesday against Anoka at the heritage then they get on the bus and go to Moorhead on tuesday hopefully there will not be any game suspensions :?

They could probably afford to be down a player or two against Anoka; they got pasted by Centennial tonight. They need to be at full strength for that road trip to Moorhead though.

We'll have to wait and see.

Hey Karl, What happened was in the corner at the end of the game Duluth's Holm and Some kid from Cloquet had a mini scrum going, then they started bringing it to center ice with them jawing back and forth. Holm's mask was almost off his head when the benches started to clear. Then all hell broke loose with some punches flying. Mainly from the cloquet side, Forbert was in the thick of things as well as Williams. After they had all of the players separated Randolf went up to Esse and probably did not tell him Merry Christmas. Then they started jawing and then Randolf told his players to leave the ice without shaking hands, after about a 5 minute delay East came back out, some with no pads on and shook hands.

OK, thanks. Sounds like it was good entertainment, but we'll see what come of it.

I'm not too shocked this happened, really. I was almost waiting for it as the game went on. The way this rivalry has gone lately, any team that gets humiliated is bound to look for some sort of revenge and get chippy. Hopefully no one was hurt.

Apparently Williams was, but he is playing with a cast anyways so who cares.

OK, thanks for the details. So will the non-suspensions just be imposed at the beginning of each team's next game?

what a joke! randolf needs to be fired for the disgusting display of having his entire team skate off the ice with out shaking hands. Sure they came back but it just made their entire team look like a bunch of snobby rich kids.

Yeah, i suppose when you win your biggest rivalry of the year 6-1 you should be fired. The "brokeback" Jacks are just a bit upset that they have no way of matching up with East this year other then to fight.

yea im gonna have to agree the jacks dont have much of a chance this year against the hounds. i mean we dominated physically and skill wise and i was a bit surprised when the jacks fans started the "we've got class" chant because everyone knows thats not true

i dont know what they were thinking trying to fight the hounds. we have many capable fighters and many who arent affraid of the rules and would actually throw down. and you gotta love holms enthusiasm for the game. i agree with the hounds skating off the ice because shaking hands could just cause further problems it has nothing to do with class but cloquet wouldnt know much about that.

the only class they know about is lower class.

huh well i think its funny because who was it that went to state last year? and pretty sure that when our boys stayed to shake hands it showed that we actually have a lot of class seeing as how it was the gayhounds that skated off the ice with their tails tucked...and also the thing about being lower class is that we dont have anything to lose if we fight where as you snobs might lose some of your daddy's money

gayhounds? Yep, you're sure classy. Would that make you Lumberjerks then?

Grow up, kid. You haven't said anything of value in your two posts since registering this morning. Your team lost and lost badly. Get used to it.

Why is he suspended? I know there was the fight and all but what did he do? Thanks.

We won 6-1, get over it. Yes you did go to state last year, but in the section finals game you got a power play goal in overtime, on a penalty that should have also put a Cloquet kid in the penalty box. Then at the state tourney you lost your first game, and the first round consolation game. So I wouldn't brag about your trip to state last year. About the class thing, since when is it classy to have multiple students lift up their shirts to show their stomachs? And just so you know daddy doesn't pay his players, this isn't the NHL.

I do believe this is because Esse started the confrontation and dropped multiple sware words and stuff of that nature. So yeah, thats classy eh?
