It's an interesting question, and one that was debated quite a bit last year as well as this year.

Last year, I didn't really like the Lee-Budish-Everson line, which is what they were going with by the state tournament. I thought they were deep enough to spread them out and have two quality lines. To me, Edina looked better when they had two lines flying around causing problems, as they did in their win over East (with the Lee-Budish-Everson line being the PP line), than they did at State, when they seemed to be relying on one line for all the scoring.

This year, without Budish, though, I feel they're better off loading up with Everson-Lee-Gaarder. Though they have some intriguing options with Sit, Eppel, Taft, etc., I think they are better served with one solid line that's been together for some time now. The early returns suggest that as well; the Schwan Cup should give us a clearer picture.

Holy Angels' Alec Koenen, Peter Orth, and Nick Beck they are a dominant offensive force for the Stars

WELL THERE, If you want good hockey, look at the Herbert line at Jefferson, or the everson in edina. So come on maple grove shovel shot, when has maple grove ever been a threat to anything but a busch league team. Quit sticking up for your sons team.

Sadly it appears so. And the new Edina top line of Everson, Gaarder and Lee would now top the rankings fairly easily...how things change as the season goes along...
