I'm Going for Centennial Red (Big red)to win it all.
They do have some player that talk back.
But.. They have everythng to win it all.
The heart Desire and Effort.
They are a tough team they play the game right. And give everything into the game to win it.
But i aslo think Proctor will be playng them in the championship. Or Big red will be playng them. Their two amazing teams. And have made it this far to win it all.
Does any one know anything else about Proctor?
You can view their record on proctorhockey.com
They have a goalie that takes up some space and a few good scorers. I think they finished the season ranked #3 in LHP. Yes, they only have a "B" level team.

Hockey mom, where are you? I know you are here in Breezy Point! Good luck to the Tigers. Hopefully you won't see the Big Red again!

Heckuva championship game coming tomorrow. The only team to shut out my daughter's team (Reds) vs the team that scored the most goals against us (Proctor). Goaltending and defense will be decisive IMO.

Another OT game for Princeton - those girls gotta be tired.
Big upset in the championship! The Reds had about 30 shutouts this year and I don't think they'd given up more than 3 goals in a game all season. I'm really surprised this wasn't a 1-0 or 2-1 game.

Hummmmmm Had all of you seen this Proctor team play any of their games, you would have seen what? Heart, determination and...... Hockey the way its supposed to be played. This team of girls plays the cleanest game I have ever witnessed! Period! Retaliation.... Never saw it! Cheep Shots.... Not these girls! Any of us that watched these games this weekend got to watch the best teams in the state compete for a state championship and, watching that little Proctor team was something else. Those girls took alot of hard ones but stayed focused and played their game. Sure their are the few that are the "scorers" but hellllloooooo has anyone ever watched high school or NHL hockey????? There are always standouts but.... You can't play hockey without a whole team it is not a 1 man sport. You need a whole team backing you and supporting every play and, guess what??? Proctor has everything that a team needs and they brought it... played it... and took it... My hats off to you little ladies! I sure bet your coaches are proud of all of you. Way to go Proctor.

Some thoughts on the tourney:
First and formost, my thoughts and prayers go out to the Osseo Maple Grove girl who was injured towards the tail end of the third period in the 3rd place game. No one likes to see injuries like that - We wish you well and hope everything is alright.
Secondly, my hats off to the Pequot Lakes Hockey Association for running an outstanding tournament. Top notch job!
Hats off as well to the referees. Of the 8 or 9 bits, pieces and whole games I watched, the referees did a superb job with the exception of the title game. They let the physical play get a bit out of hand. By the end of the first period you could about tell someone was going to get hurt and one of Proctors defensmen got blind sided and was out for nearly the entire second period with no penalty called.
The championship game was really 3 games in 1 with Proctor dominating the first and leading 3-0 - Organized Chaos. The second period left Proctor a defenseman short and Proctor reeling allowing 3 goals by the Red Machine 3-3 - Unorganized Chaos The third period Proctors defenseman made it back into the game and you could tell they were back on a high and steamrolled with two more goals from there. A minute and a half of 6 (Reds) on 3 (Proctor) hockey to end the game and an empty netter made for a very exciting finish to a game - Back to Organized Chaos IMHO, had Proctor not lost their defensman for the second period, this game could have easily been a 5-0, 5-1 game. Great gut check for Proctor and congrats to both teams for an exciting game.
Lastly, another hats off to all the fans, coaches and especially the players from ALL of the teams in the tournament for conducting yourselves the way you did. Complete class acts all the way around. Thanks for a very memorable hockey tournament that was played and enjoyed the way it is supposed to be and also a conrats to Park Rapids, Princeton and Proctor for winning their respective final games.

It was Princeton girl not Osseo that got injured. She is at home resting - sore but ok fortunately. The refs in that game were not doing a good job and there should have been a penalty called as she was checked from behind and into the boards. It was very scary for all on the Princeton team but we are happy she is ok.

Yes the girls are tired but they worked hard all weekend! I think the checking from behind into the boards injuring our player probably made them a bit fiesty for overtime!
