I heard that alot of this year's Woodbury Bantam A's will be going to
East Ridge. Any truth to that? What are the numbers?

"Then things are looking fantastic for Woodbury this year. Going into this season, I can't think of any other SEC team that is as solid as Woodbury."

Pretty bad prediction on my part

I don't have the exact numbers but yes a majority of the bantam A boys will be attending ER.

Forest Lake will only graduate four. Great sophs. Skoog,Kohls,Franklyn,Tyson. These four are better than any four sophs in the conference.

Skoog is only a soph?? I have always liked goalie Jeremy Boldt coming up thru the ranks, too. Too bad FLake lost Branden Thompson to H-M, via WBL.

Branden thompson would have been nice. Can't get hung-up on lost privates. W.B.L.,maht,N.S.P,many others get hit harder. Just glad we got to keep younger Kohls.[great player]

Forest Lake is becoming a power from top to bottom. I think the tide has finally turned with White Bear too.

I guess the religious benefits of HM didn't out- weigh what happened to big brother Isaac. Right PPG!

Or it may have come down to playing Varsity at FL or JV at Hill.

No more like he's a good Q.B. and wants to play in a real football conference. Not to mention a top baseball school and program.

It's one thing to be a member of a football conference, and another to be a factor. With regards to baseball, Hill's tradition is a lot deeper than the Ranger's Brian did a nice job last year with the group he had, but that cupboard is pretty bare right now.

Like I said the kid wants to play in a real conference. He is much taller than older bro. Good group of unproven baseball players this.

I'm thrilled to see him doing well...he's a good kid. It's also nice to see Flake having a solid year & not rely on a goalie to steal some games. I wish them well in sections.

Well, I will tell you what, PPG, I think the goalie play is what has been a huge factor for FLake. I think the combination of Gaffy and Skoog has done an absolutely tremendous job in replacing Paul Moberg. I would like to think that most outsiders used that as the excuse to write off the Rangers this year, and look where they are now!!!

FLake can put another exclamation point on their season with a victory over WBL Feb. 2. They have already captured one with the head-to-head victory over Woodbury.

GFD,

Put Moberg on this team and watch out! There is much more in front of the goalie duo this year than in years past. The program got a taste of what it's like to play in a section final last year and I believe they enjoyed the taste and want more. Having said all that, it wouldn't surpise me to see them lose in the first round. 7AA lacks a dominant team, but the section is balanced.

Kind of like Hill-Murray losing in the first round to North St. Paul in 2005.

Even though I am in the WBL school district, I am happy to see FLake's success regardless of who is in nets, or who is serving nachos in the concession stand! It's a nice story.

But... none of that matters when we root for the Pioneers in section 4AA, not 7AA, eh, my good pal, PPG?

Forgive my bitterness but Stillwater must be mentioned in that. They lost the most talent by a long shot.

Alt from CDH is very good hockey player. I thought he was a great Q.B. even better on the ice.
