This was good!! Long year, coaches name is Long.......... very "punny"
The breakdown on the Bantam A team is;
East Ridge=8
Hill=5
Woodbury=4
(this is what I have been told, not sure which of these kids may be attending Cretin as stated earlier)
The fight for bragging rights begins Dec. 5th, East Ridge hosts Woodbury
Can't wait to see Braedon Hyland (ER) vs. Walker Hyland (Woodbury) and Pat Herbert (ER) vs. Andrew Herbert (Woodbury). One of the unfortunate things about the split is that younger brothers couldn't follow the older ones but it's going to be fun to watch them play against one another.
Yea that will be interesting. Wonder what those houses will be like when the kids come home from school before the game.

my only question is why!? i see no reason for this game being televised..it will more embarass the kids rather then help them out.

They don't look like a superpower, but they certainly don't look terrible. Playing a very sound defensive game so far. And without any seniors.

Give them two years and they'll be decent competition in the SEC, top 5 atleast.

This may be a bold statement, and i am wes bolin's biggest fan, but after woodbury's seniors this year graduate, ER will more than likely beat woodbury next year.

Andrew McDonough is a solid goalie, don't take anything away from him. He's made some nice saves tonight on #9.
My son played in front of him for years in youth hockey and all this past summer in AAA. I know him and his Dad well (who was also a great goalie for Johnson or Harding I believe).

some of you have nothing better to do then rip on high school athletes. Even if they are not top performers, don't ruin the little moments they may have

I have to say I'm kind of heartbroken for the East Ridge boys, they really played with emotion but kind of fell apart in the 3rd period.
St Francis's goalie deserves a lot of credit, shutting down Idso's break away after his brother botched the puck at his own blue line.
Games are won and lost by these kinds of plays.
Good game, nothing to be ashamed of Raptors.

Just remember NONE of the players on East Ridge would have made Woodbury Varsity the 1 kids from Park on teh team might have played 3rd line at Park.
SO listening to Gorg talk about that kid like he was the next one made me so sick I had to tturn it of and watch basketball.

Even though he had a hat trick i think those of us, i include myself in this one, who were ignorant about the kid have had our eyes opened. He is a great player but i totally don't believe the hype anymore.

What you say is probably true but East Ridge IS their school and the hockey team does exist. They are the best players available at their school.
They are varsity players, regardless of the circumstances.

I guess I was reffering to Gorg hyping up St Francis as a team to watch in Class A. Yes they are Varsity but the WHOLE team is new not 1 player on the roster has Varsity experience. How many teams can say that?

i loved east ridge it would have been great tv if they would have won that game...
not to hate on gorg or benik but the most important zone is the defensive and i think gorg should know this..and it looks like benik needs to learn this.

Maybe, except for the name Raptors. Honestly who comes up with this stuff?
