I won't see Saturday night's game (UMD men's hockey series with Colorado College).. which might be a good thing cause it's at Proctor's arena which is by far the coldest arena I've watched hockey in over the years.. our old Barn in Cloquet never seemed THAT cold in comparison. If Morris plays well then it won't be the 4-1 score, but I'll pick the Jacks to win by two goals.

I will see the Northern Stars and Elk River on Saturday afternoon, since I didn't get down there to see CEC take on Elk River I want to see them once before playoffs come.

I'll have to agree with you on that one, I've only been to Proctor twice and it is one of the coldest I've ever been to.

Now about the game, it will most definately come down to goaltending. I still think CEC should come out on top.

Duluth did beat Elk River 1-0.. Paige Turner stopped 38 shots for the shutout. Most of Elk River's chances were created by some of the Northern Stars defense not getting the puck out of the zone (or when they did, not into farther than the red line.

Haven't looked for a confirmation of the CEC/PHM game yet.. I'm sure there will be a tiny recap of every game in the News Tribune tomorrow.

Photos from Duluth/Elk River

The lone goal.. I was too far away to have gotten a really good shot

The next coming of Erica Lawler, Elk River's Joanna Curtis, reminded me in every way of Lawler, though she didn't score she has all the moves.
