donahue from mayo should lead the way. not sure about the lakeville goalie, but from what i see mayo has a returning goalie who was honorable mention last year among some decent competition. Pat Ryan, Kangas, Mikey B, and the Mankato East starter. He should have a stellar rest of the year.

I wouldnt even put Donahue second. Right now he's third i think. From what ive read and heard Lakeville North's goalie absolutely stood on his head against Bloomington Jefferson (one of the top teams in the state) and outplayed Austin Lee (one of the top goalies in the state). So I would probably put him first just on that basis alone. Barwald from Dodge County had an amazing game against Northfield from what im told. Stopped 52-53 shots in a 1-0 loss. His team only had 4 total shots. Just by keeping his team in a game like that is pretty rediculous. Donahue would have to be third I guess. I know what kind of goalie he can or could be. I just dont think its all there for him yet. Last year he just fell into a situation where Mayo had two horrible senior tenders and every time Mayo can find a young goalie with potential they play him. Just look at past goalies. Jakaitis and Ranfranz just to name 2. I would watch out for Pirius from JM and whichever goalie Farmington plays though. I was told by coaches Pirius played very well in a victory over Coon Rapids last week and he's only a sophmore.
Zamboni Drivin Fool

He is a Junior. Year ahead in school year behind in hockey just like other JM players Heightland, Gorman, Yetzer, Herman.

Okeson from Lakeville no doubt. Very solid against Jefferson... most prepared goalie in the section

Yeah those stats say it all. This is a kid who in a matter of 1 high school season goes from being a very very good goaltender playing in the nahl probably and then who knows to now an unbelievable goalie who is in the ushl......will be recruited by a major college hockey power possibly play and can play minor league pro hockey more than likely. It was always a nightmare playing Century when he was there because you didnt have to beat Century, you had to beat Kangas that night. I cant wait for this kid's career to truely unfold and see where he ends up. (Let's just hope its not North Dakota or Wisconsin.....LOL...Just kidding).
Zamboni Drivin Fool

Agreed JM is doing well now with pirius as long as he stays on his game they should stay in contention in this crazy section (1AA) haha but as of right now L. North looks to be the team to beat. As for Pat Ryan I have heard nothing............
