Coatta goal 1-1. ref got whistle happy or it would be 2-1 Blaine.

Gorg in rare form as usual. "That slash almost broke his stick in two pieces." .................as the lower portion of the stick flys through the air.

Harper is definitely the story of the game thus far.... No official word, but last tally shown was shots like 16 to 8, so I am sure Harper finished with 21 saves.. yes... official with 11 scoring chances, which means point blank saves...

I WAS close.. said 2-1 after 1..... but Harper has been awfully, awfully solid..

Minnetonka could have easily had 5 goals in the 1st. So many close chances that their forwards did not capitalize on. So far, IMO, they look very deserving of their No. 1 ranking. But at 1-1 the game could still turn in Blaine's favor, but they're going to need a lot more of the same kind of fortunate bounces like they had in the 1st.

Great action, sure glad they picked this one to televise.

The more I watch this game the more sorry I feel for East having to play back to back against these 2 teams.. Wow, very impressive game so far

22-6 shot count after 1st period. We'll see if Blaine can turn that around here in the second period. Bjugstad just hooked down to ice, no call

Shots Tonka 33 Blaine 12..... I bet the puck wasn't in the Tonka zone more than 3 minutes the second period... The final three minutes, a lot of center-ice play.. the teams looked a little tired..

Lining up to be a great third period..

Ummmm... what time is curfew for Minnetonka's coach, Brian Urick??? he looks 16.....and like he should be gathering carts from Target, not coaching... But what a wonderful job he seems to be doing...

3-3 now.... 3 goals scored on Kruger on 13 shots.... Ouch....

Minnetonka will not win state for 1 reason.... their goalie. He is very shaky, putting rebounds in the slot. I think when they run into better teams every night, he won't be bailed out constantly.

Urick graduated in '95 - Young, but not the youngest high school coach ever.
