Tonka 3-1 after one period.

3-1 after 1.

Edina's forwards look very strong; the defense, on the other hand, has had a few breakdowns. That PP was a disaster in every possible way, too.

Gardiner's looking pretty good his first game, and Kruger's made a few important saves to keep Tonka on top.

Tonka 7-1 after 2 periods

Edina D can't handle the Tonka forwards in deep.

Looks like one team in particular will be staring at the cake thru the window, and not eating it, eh??

Wow, what a night for Tonka they were on fire. They were skating circles around Edina. Edina's penalties didn't help them at all...

Looks like Karl forgot to have his "don't take penalties against Tonka" talk with Giles, or Giles, like the youngsters from Duluth East, just didn't listen. What a season the Skippers are having. Big test this week v. Wayzata.

 Ummm, maybe read the next sentence.
Yea...you said Tonka 4-1 if he plays, 2-1 if he doesn't.
I didn't see the game, but can anyone confirm if Gardiner might have contributed on 2 or more of Tonka's goals.

gardiner played a handful of shifts.

He scored the first goal on the pp.

He played a shorthanded shift and assisted on holl's first goal

Saw a few more shifts on PP in first

Once the game was decided in the second, he saw limited action.

Not sure if he even saw the ice in the third...

Smart decision by coach not playing him in third, can't risk the re-injure.

Gardiner means more than just the stats he puts up as when he plays it opens up his linemates (Coatta & Frawley) and allows Shutt to move back to center the 2nd line and then they can skate with pretty much any first line in the state.

With Armstrong up next I expect Gardiner to skate little as they shouldn't need him so that's another week to get up to full speed.

Thank you, my thoughts exactly but I didn't communicate it as well.
