1 Private down another on the Horizon........................
This should bode well down the stretch....Good luck as I am pulling for my other NEW FAVORITE team - the Ponies!!!

Maybe a section rematch? I'd love to see that
I went to the game, awesome. Dogfight the entire game. Housley impressed me tonight and if I'm right I think he has 7 goals in the last 3 games, they did play hastings and east ridge though. His goal tonight was pretty amazing though.

yeah that would mean we meet them at State, which would mean Hill didn't get very far in Sections.
Thanks for the vote of confidence PPG nice to see you be positive for once.

That's pretty obvious when he's the Site Administrator on a MN HS Hky Board

. I was kidding as well, but my attempt at humor clearly went unnoticed

It was pretty quiet on our side of the ice last night. Actually we came out hard and in my opinion, handed it to the horses in the first period. Shots were like 2 - 1. Stilly came out in the second a different team and kicked our you know what and took out of the game. A god third period, but goal tending was one goal better for the Pony's. If our big guns don't get going, we are done.

How many new FAVORITE teams do you have GFD? Didn't I see in a HM thread that they were your new FAVORITE team. Or maybe it was DE.
You are being waaayyyy to POSITIVE. I want the old GFD back.

Cretin had the worse game of their season and still should have won. Big deal.

Youngblood & Hankya have nicely recapped the game. Kudos to Cotter for a big win in the net. Biggest win of the season for the Ponies! I heard it was the first win vs CDH since the teams have been in the SEC together. I checked Minnesota-Scores.net and found that statement to be true, at least as far back as the 2005-06 season. Aside from a tie last year, CDH has owned the Ponies.
Two questions: 1. How long have the two teams been in the SEC together? 2. I'm assuming their history goes further back... Can anyone confirm if & when the Ponies have ever knotched a win vs CDH?

Body... you missed the word "other" new favorite team... I have a NEW favorite private school team, SEC team and Northern team. I think the fact that I have disowned my original black and orange team, and no longer participate on threads concerning them, should CLEARLY show that GFD is alive and kicking and is as negative as H E double hockey-sticks!!!

With all due respect, WB6162..... Ummmmm.. could it be that Cretin played its worst game of the season, because Stillwater forced them to play that way????

Yah I thought Stillwater has outplayed them in their last two meetings. I noticed that Stillwater did the same thing in the Mounds View game, poor in the first but from then on pretty dominant. Definately not the worst game I've seen from Cretin. They played terrible in all Schwan Cup games and they are lucky this wasn't their second loss to Stillwater.

This one hurt. Not to worry though. Seems like everyteam goes through a rough part of the season. Stilly started slow this year and we took care of business the first two games. This is not to say Stilly did not deserve the win. They are getting better and will win many more games the rest of the season. I don't see them losing more then a couple from here on out. I think CDH will fix a few things and get back on track also.
