Thanks, could not have said it better myself
Oh I'm sorry I didn't break the code, how could I not know that "Top teams to beat in Minnesota" meant "this discussion is for all the city folk to talk about how good the city teams are and how thankful we are that Warroad is A so we don't have to face them come playoff time," my mistake. Feel free to continue bashing their class A label as well by all means, not because they deserve no respect, but because they are a "JV" squad.
Ok, when this talk is thrown in for boys hockey it is a little more understandable. However, there isn't that much inequality between the top A and AA teams in girls hockey, at least not yet. And the thread is called "top team to beat in Minnesota." Not top team to beat in the playoffs. Warroad has shown they can play with the best in class AA.

I don't think there is any bashing going on. Ponyboy, who started this thread, was talking about "when playoffs come". Its just impossible to discuss Warroad with the Class AA teams when you are talking about teams to beat in the playoffs when you can't play that team. Warroad is one of the teams to beat in Class A but comparisons to Class AA teams for playoff purposes is apples and oranges.

You are right on, it seems like the Royals have not put together three solid periods all season long. With the goalie dinged up they struggled a bit against teams they shouldnt have and had some bad showings agianst top teams. Finishing the season with Edina and Tonka should say alot about where all three teams are heading into sections.

I still think with three of the elite 1 goalies in section 6AA anything can happen at Parade. Tonka has the edge and most likley a key #1 seed going in. They will avoid BSM and Hopkins and wont be pushed to hard till the final.

From the times I have seen WBL, SW, HM, and RV. I would have to say I think the edge goes to Roseville but I have a (completly unfounded) hunch about WBL somehow pulling it out. The semifinals in that section will be excellent games no matter what.

As always there will be some hot goalies/forwards lurking out there to knock off some high seeds. Should be a fun couple weeks.

I hope your right RD. I'm losing a little faith in my Bears. We played a great 1-1/2 periods last night and then proceeded to take penalty after penalty. One player had 4 (3 checking and a roughing) not exactly good penalties and no benching. Perfect opportunity up by 5 to set an example.

Players need to come together late in the season and realize it's a team game. Of course we can beat anybody if.

THERE'S NO CHECKING IN GIRLS HOCKEY!!!!!!!!

like I said before someones is going to get seriously hurt and if that happens I hope they sue the player/school etc.

Melv- can I assume that you at least chat with the parents of the two individuals that continue to keep your team short-handed? What do the parents say about their kids continually occupying the 2nd home of Boogaard? That its the refs fault for continually making bad calls game in and game out, for the same penalties, game in and game out? I'm curious to hear this...

Don't seem to see the problem. Blame the coach. I think they should be thanking the coach.

These players are very talented and I personally believe could play D1 hockey if they could correct it. They need to realize to get even for a maybe frustrating play is not to take a penalty but to SCORE! WIN! That will shut anyone up.

They're going to figure it out starting Friday. :D I BELIEVE! :D

GO BEARS!
