I hesitate to say this, but North Branch is no better than they have ever been. I don't care what their record is, they lost 9-2 to Cambridge tonight and it could have been worse.

Great turnout for their fans, including the youth players but it was ugly. They couldn't get out of their own zone against the third and fourth line in the third period. They may have guys who have put up points but you could not even tell who they were on the ice.

Cambridge skated 3 lines from the start and looked like they were saving themselves for tomorrow against Rogers (they also played last night so 3 games in 3 days). Backup goalie was in as well.

Don't mean to put them down but there has been a lot of talk here so I wanted to give some perspective.

And I do have to say it was a little classless when NB fans (yes including parents) booed Cambridge when they came out on the ice and also when they scored. Not sure I have seen that before.

thats a bummer, when they are merged at the youth levels....we also had this happen at a bantam game this year and the team getting booed at was up 6-0 after two, been to a lot of games and hadn't seen that yet. Always a first for everything.
