That's a little excessive, don't you think? Especially to finish off somebody's season, its just cruel to those seniors.

*Go BRONCS!!!*

Hendrickson played one shift in the 2nd period and one in the 3rd period. Only scored one goal.

Very little resistance from the SB defense and goaltender was off. It was 12-0 after 1 period and 20-0 after 2. One Virginia player skated his first varsity game tonight and he and his linemates from the JV played nearly the entire 3rd period and half of the 2nd along with a couple mostly JV defensemen. I think they scored on four or five straight shots in the first period. Not much else you can do.

Thanks for the info, PR. Usually you can count on a knee-jerk reaction to a score like that. Considering we're talking about Virginia and Hibbing here, the reaction didn't disappoint.

Doesn't matter how many shifts hendrickson gets. daddy still credits him with points, even when he wasn't on the ice.

this was not the only lopsided score tonight, just happened to be the most lopsided. I am amazed at how lopsided the scores were tonight not just in this section, but across the whole state.

A 22-0 Varsity Hockey win is beyone lopsided.

In your world yes it is 'mean spirited'. Here is the problem with your modern culture the wimp factor makes you whine about a 22 - 0 win. Virginia is playing for a title run so why should they stop playing balls out? Winners never stop.

you dont have to stop. work some plays, try things for the next game. shoot at the goalie, unless he was jumping out of the way every shot

=D> How true! But again 22-0 is lopsided but if I'm a coach its hard to tell your team to stop trying to score.

I beg to differ with you. The whole town does not think its ok.
When the first 4 or 5 shots are goals you can see that their goalie was having a bad night.
Anyone who has been in sports knows the feeling of losing big time or winning big time.
The object is to win, and show sportsmanship in doing so.
Which I envision you haven't a clue.

What did you expect...sportsmanship...from Virginia???

If they don't understand how to stop scoring goals here's an idea. Stop shooting at the goalie. But of course they need to run it up on a lesser opponent to get ready for their big 3rd state appearance.

GO FALLS!!! (who stopped scoring at 9-0)

I wouldn't say Virginia is going to make their 3rd state appearance quite yet. Falls and Hibbing are quite capable of beating them, and possibly marshall too if they play like they've been.
