The refs gave Breck a weak checking from behind in overtime to give STA the game!!!!!
Yeah. Circle Talker has a tough time figuring some stuff out. Like how the Wright County Conference champion is unranked behind 3 teams in that conference. Two of which they swept in the season series.
I think it's time to put to rest the validity of CircleTalkers rankings. I mean, do you expect anyone to buy that Luverne is better than Rogers, SCC, Faribault, East Grand Forks, and probably 20 more.
Is your post a joke?

TheDon wrote:So i got this pm that told me that warroad beat egf 12-4 in their last meeting. So does that game get thrown out in your argument then since the game back in the beginning of the season means warroad will get knocked off in sections?
Seems like you're reaching a bit...
It's not thrown out, but neither is the first game. That's all. What are you arguing about? That they should arbitrarily be one spot higher? These two are tough to rank, but not only does H'town not have any little mishaps in Class A, but they did better against most common opponents. The top 5 could really almost be in any order depending on what you look at most.

You mean the game they let there senior goalie start to see where his rehab is at, get your facts right don juan everyone in section8 knew they were going to give him a try that night
There is a lot more to scoring goals that who is in net;
how good your defense men are at keeping the angles away, how much time the puck is in your zone, etc, etc. A team like Warroad shouldn't be putting themselves in a position to let in goals to Kittson Central, let alone two.
If Tonka put me in net, I'm sure they would still beat half the teams they beat and, for the most part, I would only see shots I could save. No one is saying they are a bad team, they are in a class above most others in the state. I am simply saying this happening this week drops them below Hermantown. That's all.
Tough week for you circle talker? Fall off the wagon did ya? Read your own thread will you? i'll say it again for you... The goals were scored when forwards were playing defense.

The term "circle talker" still confuses me. I have one position on topics and that doesn't change; not sure how you get a circle of that, but oh well.
The point wasn't any one specific thing, that's why the "etc" was there. My ranks are based on the scores at the end of the game, not the specifics of who was there. Whether the kids are worried about a test the next day, someone's family member died, lines are being moved, etc, etc.

For the first time ever, you are correct. I didn't read your headlines and instead jumped right in to the rankings.
That said, CircleTalker it shall remain...unless Virus is better??

I love how it is ignored that Breck lost a game head to head with another top team; in that game spectators said they were lucky for it to be as class as it was.
If you ignore that game we also have beating Mahtomedi by only two in their last meeting, beating Lourdes by only 1 at home, Totino by only 3 and really having proven very little this season. Throw out the Shattuck game? Ha. They played well, but BSM and AHA played them better and are thought of as not even close to the top team they are.
They're good, but haven't proven to be great. As we only have relative games to go by and their progression as their schedule isn't good, they really don't look that good anymore, imo.
spectator wrote:and just a note some one made a comment about kittson getting 2 goals on Warroad, it called CLASS to call the dogs off when you have them whipped 9 0 Warroad was running there defense on forward and vice versa and when KCC scored I saw that even some warroad players were laughing, unlike some teams they didn't run up the score, they played the third period to have fun
Class is not scoring 22 goals on a team way worse than them. Class has nothing to do with allowing goals.
Shouldn't players always be playing to have fun?
You gotta be kidding me... you talk about others not reading your posts? Warroad allowed 2 goals to KCC while playing forwards on defense and 4th,5th lines and defensemen up front. Go ahead, be concerned that Warroad allowed two to KCC. I'll even throw this out there for you to try get your head around, they gave up 3 to RLF!

For your info don juan, warroad was giving there injured senior goalie the start to see where his rehab was at and they found out his lateral movement isn't quite there yet

,that why the sophmore started the next game, so once again you stand corrected

Honestly, who cares if Warroad gave up 2 goals to Hallock???? Did they win??? yes, did they smoke 'em???? yes. I can't believe anyone would actually use that as an excuse. Kinda like saying that beating Fergus in OT was not a good idea for Sartell. HSHW has said many times that it is great that the teams in that section are out there competing and they will beat up on eachother.......what gives???? The #3 seed took it to the #2 seed.....
Scores are only scores. Wins and Losses are the most important stat.

I agree 100% with you...unless you are trying to rank the teams (which is what this thread is about). Someone is arguing over one spot. How bout this; H'town and Warroad are tied for 4th.
Solved. No more arguing.

No, if I was trying to rank the teams I would see nothing against Warroad for letting in two goals when they whipped the team anyway. I am not ranking the teams...I do not pay enough attention to do it. Since I do not pay enough attention to do it I do not know enough about them to rank them. I am not arguing that Warroad should be ahead of or behind Hermantown. I do not think that one position makes two turds for lack of anything else to call it. I am just saying that 9-0 or 9-2 we all know who won the game and we all know that Warroad is by far a better team than the one in Hallock. That is about all you can take from it, nothing more nothing less.

and has even done poorly against the one valid opponent they had - HSHW
Lourdes Right?
Breck 2-1
STA 5-3
So they did 1 goal worse than the best team in the state against the no. 10 team? that's not that bad of a showing..

I didn't say they didn't win, but for where Lourdes is rated and how everyone talks about them, I would to see more than a one goal with with their stretch of opponents to keep them up. Mahtomedi beats St Thomas, Breck beats no one really worth mentioning. Still top three, but that gives my nod to the Zephyrs in the ranking.
Head to head is different. If Mahtomedi makes it, they should be #2 in my opinion. Two head to head losses hurts.
