Now I hope the Icemen beat the blades 20 to 0. What a joke. Blades coach needs his head checked.

Top of the Morning HD41 – Snipers have been outscored 19 to 2 in the first two games, looks like your investment in MM Choice League and Breakfast Club are paying off as good as my BP stock.

I always, I always love that one :P :P

Because he ran up the score? wasn't it 20-0 or something like that?
Sometimes is hard to tell those 9/10 year olds to stop scoring and keep passing when it's been drilled into their head's since birth that all that matters is scoring goals.

And people wonder why they have trouble getting kids to play goalie. That must feel nice to crush a 10 year old goalie ----- pure rotten.

I understand to a point. I get concerned about what got drilled into the little kids on the other team.

With kids that young, it's hard. BUT, they will eventually stop if you keep telling them. Tell them you'll bench 'em
I feel bad for the little goalie on the other team

aaa hockey or is it? Do any trnys advertise themselves as spring or summer hockey? If they don't and advertise as AAA, forget complaining about a drubbing.

Looks like the Machine and Blades are the 2 MN teams who should be playing each other. They are the only 2 teams without any sportsmanship. Let them beat each other up! Why don't they play? I would like to see that? Who else would?

i understand the frustration, modern day AAA is not what it once was ( spring/summer league was called showcase ) now they are all lumped together. But AAA for some teams is still consider the elite playing level of their age, 20-0 is no different then 10-0 in association hockey EP vs Kennedy for example.

offside14 wrote:Good question, I see their pool should be quite challenging!?! They might need those first 5 games to ease into things, you know get their feet under them. Should be good practice beating everyone 10-0 before they see the icemen and the monopoly in the cross over games. But like you said HD41 they do have to get by the snipers first! Might be all tired out after scrimmaging the Torspo this Saturday. Save some for next weekend boys.
When you have only one team advance from each pool, you would think that you would want to balance the pools.
That is usually how most tournies do it? Not stacking 4 solid teams in one pool and 1 solid team and 4 open teams in the other. Makes no sense to me, especially if this is a tune up for the Brick! Don't the Blades play up a level to get tuned up for the Brick? Wonder what changed this year?

I heard Blades complained about brackets and changes were made. But that is just gossip, who knows???

Come say hello if you are there. I'll be the one in the orange cape with a bullhorn. :D
HD41, Why would you be wearing Orange?? There are no Machine Teams in this tournament, only McMoneys C Squad Team the $nipers, you know the team he put together to help pave the parking lot and pay utilities

HD41, All that time, All that Money to play on McMoney$ C Team, WOW What a Great Hockey Mind \:D/
I think you're being a little harsh....aren't the Snipers his "B2" team? The Grinders would be his "C" team, right?
Actually the Grinders is now called the Force and has beaten the Snipers 9-2 and 8-3 this year.

I guess we can all thank the Machine for not playing other wise we probably would have had more 20 or 30-0 games and chalk it up as a poorly run tourney.... Obviously the director doesn't know the difference between and open and invite teams.

The Icemen were probably upset after their poor bracket placement. One easy game and 4 competitive games.

Not true! (Talking 2000 level here because I believe that's the only Blades team in the International Cup) The Machine team shows more sportsmanship on the ice by a long shot! #1. They choose NOT to enter their team (or even their second level team) in an INVITE LEVEL tourney knowing full well that the competition would be over matched (Blades didn't seem to have a problem with this though now did they)! This fact alone should show which team has more sportsmanship. If these two teams are the supposed top of the AAA heap then what the heck are the Blades doing competing here anyway? #2. How many times have you seen an excessive celebration or ANY celebration at all after a Machine goal (unless you call a pat on the head on the way back to the bench excessive I guess)? Blades - not so true - ask anyone that is at the rink this weekend or that have seen any of their games - every time they score it's like they just won the Stanley Cup. #3. And this has been stated before and confirmed by MANY - THE BLADES REFUSE TO SCRIMMAGE THE MACHINE! Last word (excuse) from the Blades team manager was that they ONLY scrimmage 1999 teams. Once again - ask around and you can confirm this.

Tell me I'm wrong. . . . . . . .
