Ok whatever I'm not gonna get all up in arms about it, but the reason Eagan took penalties is cause EP was skating circles around Eagan. You discredit the LVN loss to a hot goalie but that's exactly what this was for EP. Nobody sees Eagan as a serious state title contender, they need to prove a lot of things before anybody can anoint them state champions in December. They would never go up 7-2 on Benilde.
If you think EP skated circles around Eagan then you must have been the person that got hit in the head by the puck up in the stands in the 3rd period...it knocked you silly...
Rose colored glasses???? Shots were 36-18 EP. That's a pretty good indicator that EP controlled the game, but the Eagan goalie was hot.

Enjoy your SSP tourney win. It just may be the highlight of the year for you.

Wow, this topic should be locked. Making fun of someone who got hit in the mouth with a puck and left the stands bleeding is crossing the line.

EP did skate circles around Eagan in Eagan's end. They also passed the puck very well and are very fast. They also got the puck poked away on break-aways countless times.

Saying they controlled the game, though, is quite inaccurate. Shots 36-18 EP, goals 4-2 Eagan. Meaning Eagan made 22% of their shots, while Eden Prairie made 5% of their shots.

Shooting a lot isn't controlling the game, it's just that; shooting a lot. Eagan won a good game. Just say good job, move on and get them next time.
