thats pretty sad that players get tired out because they end up having one more shift in a game or maybe 2

The only fans that complain more than the Edina fans are the St. Thomas devotees.
Think of it as 6 more minutes of exposure to all of the scouts that had to be watching.

Not sure you can find one post one this thread of complaining, especially not from any St Thomas fans, nor many others for that matter.

I was simply asking a question. I remember a couple years ago a tournament played 4 on 4 OTs to determine winners and they were "officially" ties because that wasn't MSHSL rules. I'm just curious if this will count with 57 minutes of regulation.

"Count" towards what?
Section seeding: No
Conference Standing: No
Overall record for the year book: Probably.

Personally I think MSHSL should go to 20 minute periods. With a 25 game max it is an easy way of adding 225 minutes of game time (4 & 1/2 games worth) to the season. If I were a coach I would be all for getting the extra 9 minutes of competition against a team like Shattuck. They obviously scheduled this game for that reason, to play against the very best. That said, STA should have been informed well in advance if that isn't how it was originally planned.

I could not agree more with you on going to 20 min. periods. :D
