Agreed.

East's loss to Blaine should cost them a top four seed at state, if they make it to State. Losses to Apple Valley, Edina, Wayzata, Maple Grove and now Blaine will not help their seeding. These losses should be a concern for East fans because it seems to indicate that East does not know how to win the close games. The psychological aspect of falling short against good teams can be tough to overcome.

Is there something wrong with Jeanetta? His save % has been fairly low since the EP game (excluding the win over Flake). Just wondering if he is fighting a injury or something.

Wasn't aware that East's wins over Grand Rapids and Eden Prairie weren't close games. Guess they know how to win some of them, huh?

False? They're just in a rough patch right now, they hit it every year. I'm not worried, in about a month and a half they'll be raising the state championship trophy.

These kids, do I have to teach all of them the subtleties of the Reverse Jinx?

Duluth east is not a very talented team. They are very fundamentally sound and that is thanks to their coach.

They don't have that outstanding player like most top ten teams like cameranesi, rau, letierri, fogarty, bahe, or even daly or besse from bsm.

Randolph is good but he is not one of those players

No they wont.

They probably won't even make it to state

Your an idiot. You clearly have never seen Toninato or Olson play.

:-s If anything, East is overreliant on a handful of top players.

Yeah, you're right, Empire. Kinda like you when someone besmirches Elk River's program.

But that Dangle character made a false comment; Karl hit it right on the nose though. East has the talent, but when that talent doesn't produce and perform effectively, the team suffers.

The loss to Blaine is unfortunate but you can't deny East just yet in 7AA. I still consider them the favorites. They have been tested and have won and lost to those tough teams. But all of those games build experience and exposes improvements they need to focus their training on at practice. They still have a edge.

And I thought you were always commenting on how deep the Hounds were?

They will win 7AA and have a chance to win state. What more can you ask for?

Having depth is one thing.

Using it is another.

The nice thing about DE in the past couple of years is that they are no longer relying on having that one player, but rather a stable of guys that can play. Historically that "one guy" has gone on to juniors early or the NDP and then everyone has been in a panic of what to do. I agree with Karl that the past couple of weeks have been too reliant on the top line (it would be best to split them up, but they wont), and JoJo has got to get back in the groove - too many goals on not many shots for this time of year. This week will be telling with Cloquet and ER.

I agree. This week scares me a lot, but they will get it together.
