Secondly us cidiots don't want them in state, so go HERMANTOWN.
I don't know where you would put Rogers, but they sure ain't "outstate".

ya it was in cloquet you tool but i guess you forgot that they played DULUTH DENFIELD last year to go to state too so both teams had a 25 minute drive, know what your talking about before you speak!
Al right 2good4u you tool maybe you should think before you speak. They rotate the site every year. North one year South the next. If two teams make it from the north or two from the south they use the site that works accordingly. Now tell me what site is at the half way point that works for both schools with enough seating to hold everyone? I can't think of one. They used to have it at the MAC but with SCC making it to the finals that surely wasn't fair. So instead they make it as fair as they can and every other year it changes. Perhaps we should petition the MSHL to build a rink around what the north branch area or would you like it farther north? With you now knowing how it rotates and next year it being up north as long as two southern teams don't make it here's a quote out of 2good4u's book "you Idiots up north can take the neutral site next year and shove it up your ***"

I don't think people up north are idiots just 2good4u
it really doesnt matter how many people it can seat, because the only fans that would turn out would be hermantown fans, remember last year's semi finals? where only the parents and maybe a girl friend or two showed up to watch rogers get stomped by the hawks? so to say that you need a building to fit all the fans, you mainly are just saying you need a building for the hawk fans, and hell they could play the game in pine city for all i care or moose lake, but i guess its only fair to play close to home for a team that couldnt draw a hundred fans last year to the semi finals which was on a saturday afternoon, but oh well hawks will drive your 3 hours to YOUR neutral site and will drive an additional 6 hours, 3 to get home and 3 to the X
hawks 5- rogers 1 its going to look a lot like last year if they play like they did against st. cloud

For two years in a row St. Cloud Cathedral played the section final in the "neutral site" of Cloquet. They won both times. Cathedral also played two section finals in a row (03,04) at their home ice at the MAC.

The "neutral site" will always extremely debatable in this section until the MSHSL finally makes reasonable sense of their idea of "geographically competitive" section assignments. But that's an argument for another day.

How is this Rogers fault for the game being in Champlin?

This thread sounds like a bunch of crying to me. How about you quit crying and play/watch hockey.

This complaint would be coming from Rogers if the game was in Cloquet. I for one could care less where the game is played. Its funny how no one complains about having to play at the X in the tournament. I think everyone needs to grow up. Although this subject like many others keeps getting ressurected at least 6 times a year . The better team will win. Hermantown will travel down Thursday night and all will be well. Good luck to both teams!

Well actually i know for a fact the boys didn't complain at all last year that they had to travel up for the semi's. They were excited to just go play in the semi's. No one complains cause its the state tourament  But agreed i think it should be fun to watch just too bad my kid graduated a few years back. Section finals are always fun!

I know for a fact that the kids wouldn't complain, they shouldn't they are hockey palyers. The complaining comes from the people that don't actually have a say in the outcome, looking for the reason in case they lose.

Well put. you shouldn't be complaining because you have a chance to go to state :D The parents need a complaint though if they don't win..... agree with you 100 %

Rogers is a big, physical team and they easily could have fallen into an "if we can't beat them, let's hit them" mentality after a 2nd period that found them down 4-0. Props to the Rogers coaches and players for maintaining compusure and playing hockey, not football on skates in the 3rd. Section 5 has taken some hits for not being terribly strong this year.....I would say that it is a section with top teams loaded with youth. 3 of the 4 top seeds had rosters full of Jrs/Sophs and depending on what the section realignment gods decide, those three teams (Htown, SCC, Rogers) should all be top 10-15 teams next year.

I agree with you Nota612er. Rogers finished the game with class. Hats off to all the Players, Coaches and fans. They are big and physical and could of resorted to going out and gooning it up. They are very young and should be a force in the upcoming years.

Well you said you could care less which means that you have to care some in order to be able to care less.
So you care some...
