congrats to north but its really too bad.. South dominated this game but lindgren was unbelievable. Now 1aa sends a below .500 team to state and they might not get the puck out of their end the hole game against what I am guessing will be EP. If lindgren has the same game as he had against south then they might be able to keep it respectable and under a 5 goal game, otherwise it will be a blow out. either way its disappointing because its not who will win, its by how much...

Reviewing scores it would appear that Lakeville North tied Grand Rapids at Grand Rapids, beat Alexandria in Alexandria, was ahead of EP goiing in to the third period before finally losing 7-5, beat Eagan, and just now beat South. With Eagan, Burnsville, Apple Valley, and Lakeville South in the South Suburban Conference one could argue as this might be the strongest conference in the state. Plus add Bloomington Jefferson and there were indeed some quality teams that game in and game out one would face. Prior Lake threw the scare into some teams this year too......My point being that Lakeville North, as most teams, is a matured team that may indeed make some noise in the State playoffs.......The stats show that Charlie Lindgren had 53 saves last night and is capable of this type of performance in every game. I have made the trip South to Lakeville a couple of times this year and was super impressed by this Junior goaltender.

Good luck to all the teams that qualified to play at Excel on Thursday. As the section final results are being reviewed, some other "upsets" as well.

Just one fan's view.........
