There were some distractions when I was watching the game but from what I saw the score coulda been 12 to 0. How many odd man rushes did Eagan have? It seemed like every two minutes Bitzer had to face a two on one or a breakaway or something. Moorhead's offense just looked horrendous and if I was any of those kids (including defensemen) I would've personally apologized to Bitzer for that performance.
Exactly what I was feeling.
Moorhead couldn't control the puck at all; in one shift I saw them ring the puck around the boards in their own zone 5 times! They were truly off their game, but not Bitzer. He was the only Spud that showed up to play last night.

At this time, Ill cast my vote for the Eagan goalie. AV had not been shut out all year and Moorhead just twice but both earlier in the season to tournament teams. Despite Moorhead not looking that great last night, the Eagan kid saw the puck through some traffic really well and had some big saves of his own. Would expect a low scoring game tonight.

It's funny, when HM makes the tournament they typicaly stop firing shots at the Bears. I'd say act like you've been there before but when it's been as long as it's been for WBL, I have to allow for mistakes.
Mariucci. Clap....Clap...Clap Clap Clap.

Agree with you. At this time, it's down to four (AA & A).

Got to go with Charlie Lindgren of Lakeville South. There are many good goaltenders, but a GREAT goalie consistently keeps his team in the game with 30-60 shots on goal - that would be Lindgren!

Right now it has to be. He is having another outstanding tournament. Highest save % so far and only 1 goal allowed through two.

All the goalies in Class AA are quite good, and all the goalies in Class A are very average (or below average).
AA:
1. Lindgren, Lakeville North -- A game-changer. A terrific athlete.
2. Jeanetta, Duluth East -- He's just a gamer.
3. Ford, Eden Prairie -- It's playoff time. He's back.
4. Malvin, Blaine -- He has the best mechanics of all the goalies.
The other four are also above average high school goalies. Bitzer disappointed a bit, but he's still good.

That would be my choice also. Very consistent player.

This is a no brainer. Lindgren from North is the only reason North made the tournament and then single handedly beat two very good teams to win the consolation championship. Let's not forget he also played out of his mind vs the #1 seed. The goals EP scored were unstopable. He should be able to take the trophy home with him.

Tromp by far, he played amazing in the whole tournament. Jenneta was really good he just comes out of the net too far. Works great for most games because his team is usually better than most of the kids they play. It doesn't work good playing agianst really great teams because it's way easier to beat a goalie with passing if they come out that far.

I have watched goalies for many years and I would say this year Tromp from Hibbing and Lindgren from Lakeville North stood out. These two goalies took mediocre teams and carried them on their backs to and through the state tournament.

"Tromp by far", please. The kid is a good goalie. Some may argue that Lakeville North did not belong in the tournament. Certainly I would not do that.
I have to go with Ford or Jeanneta. They played wonderful in the most pressure packed environment ..... the Championship game. The topic is best goalie in the tournament. I am going with Ford on this. He beat Jeanetta when it counted the most. To me that is a no brainer.
