Anti Orange wrote: Ok, I agree that until the Edge beat the Blades they should stay below them. The Edge already beat the Easton Synergy team 11-4 and the Edge were missing one of there top players. The older teams for STE are pretty good but not there 2000 team. What tourneys have they played? Have they played anyone on the list? Here is my list.

Machine orange
Blades
Edge
LSS
Machine Blange (black w/Orange players)
Icemen
Machine Black

Iceman beat LSS by 4-5 goals in S&S. LSS 2-0 vs Edge this year, yet Edge beat Iceman by 4 or 5 in game early in the year. Go figure.

Synergy and STE not in the picture at this age level.
And Black is?

Independent Classic

LSS 6
Black 3

STE 3 (2-0-1 against Black)
Black 2

Manitoba Young Guns 4
STE 3 (in the semi)

Manitoba Young Guns 7
LSS 2 (in the final)

A few more to make it harder to figure.

Yep. LSS seems to sure be up and down. Handle Young Guns in pool play and then get handled in final. The great thing is more than 1-2 good teams at this level, seems to be pretty good depth.

I think the 00 are the " wave of the future" as far as summer hockey goes. Gone are the days of two programs having all the talent. When you look at 01s many more good teams up and coming. The gold may be one to watch in the future.

should be a blast once these kids start hitting high school in 3-4 more years. Sure alot of the names will change, but the overall quality and quantity will be tremendous.

If I could chime in after looking at some 00 scores this weekend. We've played almost all the 00 teams in this discussion. Some we've played better than others. Here's how I rank the top 00 teams:

1. Machine - not even a case
2. Blades - beat Edge twice this past weekend
3. Edge - besides Machine and Blades faired well vs others
4. Synergy - beat LSS and tied us once. Tied Icemen this weekend and hammered STE in Easton Cup. Played Edge close in Easton Cup.
5. LSS - up and down year and started out spring better than how we finished summer on a down note.
6. Icemen - losing #9 hurts and will may fall even further if they don't reload. Struggled quite a bit in Caribou.

I can't put machine black in talk since it's a mixed bag who they bring to tourney's and usually has a huge orange mix.

A few of these teams could take a jump by upgrading some players and some tweaks.

I like your list and I agree on Machine Black having played them a couple times and seen them play in a couple other tourneys. The Black with 6 Orange players is probably #3 (give or take) on the list, the Black with no Orange players is porbably like 8th or so, I am guessing, so it is hard to fairly rank that team when no single tournament has the same mix of players on it. That said, I am curious about the top ten. I am interested in who you folks thin comprises the top ten not just top 5 or 6. Since I am from outside the area it is of interest to me. Anyone willing to fill in the blanks... it would be appreciated. Thanks

The black team used 5 orange players in Duluth, which was the most used all summer.Normally it was 2 or 3, which everyone new before the season.

I'm not sure how that in anyway answered my question nor how it does anything to dispute what I posted?
