Look for audio with each of the six coaches at the Moorhead scrimmages, as well as some video on the OTSN.tv Minnesota Hockey Week in Review show next Wednesday night.

Cathedral did well considering they were missing 3 of their top players.

yeah, 3 scrimmages. One vs. Duluth Marshall. I think Moundsview was another one and can't remember the 3rd opponent.

Anyone who was at Eden Prairie take note on some of the goaltending situations? Such as East, Eagan, or EP?

I'm also curious about how Elk River and Cloquet did over the weekend.

ER beat White Bear, Holy Angels and Osseo. Scores in previous post.

Looking for analysis, not just scores. Who was scoring for Elk River? Spread out or was it coming from the highly touted sophomore class?

In the AHA vs ER game, ER dominated the play, but AHA's defense kept the shots outside. Two of the ER goals were deflected. When AHA got the chances to drive they were able to break through the yelling of Sarsland and get some decent shots.
First week of the season, still not enough to judge how a team will be in a month.

From the scores of the Duluth tourney this weekend, looks like Mounds View was a very competitive team this weekend against some real good teams, is Mounds View gonna be a contender this year or was it just a case of teams trying things with new players during a scrimage?

So Eagan beat DE? How seriously can you take these scrimmages in rankings/predictions?
Also, does anyone know any of denfelds scores?

I wouldn't take the scrimmages serious at all. Most of the scrimmages consist of a lot of JV players and varsity 4th liners. Saturday I seen a scrimmage with only two returning players on the bench with the rest of them watching in the grandstands.

They have some decent upcoming talent, I believe. In a wide-open SEC and a thin section 4AA beyond Hill, that makes them a contender.
As for the question on scrimmages and rankings: they have some value, but I'm definitely not running to change the rankings based on any results that come in. I'd have to be there and know both teams well to judge whether their player usage was at all similar to what it's going to be during the season.

Who were they missing?
Poganski, Fritz and Kissner. Swingle sat out the last game.

Bemidji did wel considering they were missing 5 senior starters! The freshman goalie did great!
Bemidji did not do well! They were missing 2 starters, a goalie and Dman with mono. The others were football players that are 3rd liners mostly. I think the self promotion is getting a little out of hand puckforlife.

Howie Hanson's blog from Duluth had these 2 scrimmage scores:
Duluth Denfeld 4, Stillwater 0
Duluth Marshall 2, Stillwater 1

I only kept track of the Roseau scrimmages; as is typical, a varying mixture of forwards, defensemen, and goalies played in each.
Here are the scores:
Roseau 4 Rogers 1
Roseau 4 Cambridge-Isanti 0
Roseau 3 Little Falls 0
Roseau 1 Grand Forks Central 1
Roseau 3 Grand Forks Red River 4
The Warroad scrimmages were played at the Gardens; anyone from over there have scores? I know several of their players were gone for football.
