Naturally, after I razzed ghshockeyfan about all the 3-1 scores he posted on behalf of KRACH, the first two scores I looked at tonight (BSM/Irondale and Elk River/NWC) were both 3-1. So KRACH starts off with a bang - 4 points in two games. Maybe the old processor is just fine.

Week 7 Added

Since everyone is super-busy this time of year, I wanted to get this up early to give everyone plenty of time to get their picks in. This is the second half of the combined contest for Weeks 6 & 7. All point totals for Week 7 will be added to Week 6 to determine our overall winner. The deadline for posting is 12:00PM Noon on Monday the 26th. For those off to a so-so start in Week 6, this will offer ample opportunity to still win.

Week 7’s games will be divided into four parts:

I. Edina ABRA Tournament
II. Kaposia Classic Tournament
III. Other Games (3)
IV. Tiebreaker: Schwan Cup Blue Division Champion

For the quarterfinal games of both the Edina and Kaposia tournaments, prognosticators will pick winners and scores in the usual manner. A bonus point will be awarded for each correct score in the quarterfinal games.

For the semifinal and championship games, only the winner of each game needs to be identified. Picking the winner of each semifinal game will be worth 2 points, and picking the Championship winner of each tournament will be worth 3 points. Again, there is no need to forecast scores in these rounds, as no bonus points for correct scores will be awarded.

For the Other Games listed the usual rules apply – one point for each winner and a bonus point for each correct score.

The Tiebreaker will consist of picking the winner of the Schwan Cup Blue Division Championship game only. The extra point will only count in the event of a tie. If it’s still tied we’ll then have Co-Champions of Weeks 6 and 7 combined.

Brianna Breiland scores three goals, all in the 3rd period, to pull it out for the Pirates.

A bit of an upset according to our panel, as only 7 of 17 favored Crookston to win this one. Two of these 7 - sinbin and Otter - also got the 3-4 score right so they each add the bonus.

The final scores of the other two games will hopefully be reported later this evening. If they are I'll be updating the leaderboard as we head into our tournament week that starts at noon on Monday.

There were also several fights on the ice, Should have been a few misconduct penalties and one ejection but the Refs choose to only give 2 min minors for all infractions, to both teams. Seemed like SSP got a little bent out of shape when anoka came back to go ahead after being down 2 goals in the first.

Sounds like I had bad info. on the u18 girls departure timing. The fighting part is unfortunate.

I would recheck the Koposia brackets. I have seen a bracket that I believe was picked up at So St Paul that has Bloomington and Blake switched. This would make sense if the intent was to put 2A in one bracket and 1A in the other.
