yes i do think this is gunna to be a good game.
However it will be interesting to see if Shuldt plays for tonka and if glover plays for BSM. This could impact if horton plays up front or not.

Schuldt is healthy, who knows if he'll play

This will be a great game. As a benilde fan I do hope they wins and truly think they can win if everyone brings it-but there have been times when this just doesn't happen. Tonkas D core is solid. They're better than benildes D in my opinion. Besse and Horn have been playing extremely well as of late (yes they haven't played teams of caliber like tonka) but if they continue to play like that and other guys like Oborsky, Moore, Lobosky, Benildes D, and Quale play good games I think tonka won't be able to prevail. TOnka hasn't been able to cash in in the play offs as of late either, they always seem to bobble one game up-maybe this could be the game? My prediction is a 4:2 win for BSM

4-2 Tonka

the top line for benilde was not even a factor in there semifinal win against armstrong. Moore was the only one who scored and it was an empty net goal.

Tonka wins 5 to 2

Hmmm, you could say then that they don't even need their top line to be good for them to win, and if their top line has a more typical, productive night, watch out.

Coatta and Lettieri have been light on the score sheet in the last couple weeks. Look for them to put up some big points the rest of the season (hopefully into next week) :D

Rothstein and Baskin will be their usual self putting at least a couple on the board. I expect a great game but I think Tonka wont let this one slip away like they did against BSM a few years back.

Well considering that none of these kids were on either team when it happened I can't see that as having much of an effect on their mindset.

8-2, Tonka

BSM 5-4. big ice will help out their speedsters and take away more scrums, where bsm falters especially on defense

BSM has been one of the most overrated and disappointing teams in the state, but I do believe they come out and play well. It will be Minnetonka coming out by 2, but if the goaltending of BSM can step up. Should be one heck of a game.

Not sure why you think they'll come out and play well if you also believe they are way overrated. I'm sure the players and coaches are also disappointed with the way they've played in some of their games, especially earlier this year. No doubt they are looking at this section final game as an opportunity to prove all the naysayers wrong.

For sure Minnetonka is one of the top three teams in the state, so if BSM does win, folks that see them as way overrated and disappointing will have to admit that them beating Minnetonka is a major upset.

I have heard that Fox Sports North may have both games on if they can drum up enough sponsor support over the next 24 hours (less than that now).

Congrats to the Huskies on making regionals RWL.

Not sure you could have heard that. However myfoxhockey.com has had them scheduled for weeks:

2/29/2012 Boys 2AA Championship 6PM
2/29/2012 Boys 6AA Championship 8PM
3/2/2012 Boys 4AA Championship 7PM
3/2/2012 Boys 5AA Championship 9PM

Glover is back.

We will have 2AA and 6AA live tonight. If games are cancelled due to weather, we'll be there tomorrow with a live audio cast and delayed video.

The HS league's contract with their streaming provider states that if they are doing ANY other webcast of a state tournament, no one can do live video. Their coverage of state WRESTLING would not allow us to do live video of HOCKEY. That said, you can imagine we are hoping for the games to go on tonight.

How delayed is the video? So I assume the games you have slated for Friday are also going to be delayed video?

No worries about today as the two tonight are on. Friday is live. To answer the question though, the HS league "rules of the road" are no earlier than midnight.

Great to hear about tonight...and what an obscure rule. Can't wait to watch both of these games.

So the 6AA is delayed by 2 hours and the 2AA will be shown 2 hours in the future?

The times are reversed from what the MSHSL site shows them.

Potential to be the best game of the night.

The big ice favors speedy teams, but also can be a negative factor for teams running a shorter bench.

Amazing what those people at myfoxhockey can do these days.

Whichever game comes first, I'll be watching them both.

So if there was a 2 hour delay, Tonka would already won by the time it aired?
