  if you put them in the SEC they might be a 500 team. I don't see them getting higher them a 5 seed.
It still blows my mind that Tartan doesn't schedule any of the other 4AA teams. I'd say a lot depends on how they end up doing with the few remaining good teams on their schedule, HM, Lourdes, STA and DE. Then all we have is comparing how they lose to HM, with how WBL did and then how WBL did against conference foes, which is a loose comparison at best.

It would really be interesting to see a 20-win team as the away team in the semis...

I agree with you on "if they were in the SEC", but if by chance they were to beat HM tonight, that would solidify them as the #2 seed. If they don't, the lowest I see them is #3.

In order for WB to make #2, they would have to just about win out the season. For sure they would have to beat MV tonight, and Cretin and Roseville to shore up their record. I don't see them above #4.

SEC is heating up. I don't care if it is average this year it looks to be a good race. That's fun in my mind. 8)

I agree, Cretin is the leader, but a bump in the road for them, and some WB, Hastings, Roseville wins could change things.

Forest Lake/White bear game Thursday should've a good one at Vadnais. Forest Lake has been playing good lately, 3 straight conference wins over Cretin, Stillwater, and Roseville and also sticking with East for the majority of the game and also Garcia has been playing great lately. I say FL comes in a wins 5-2.

What do you mean?

Most would probably be happy just ousting Hill and getting to the Tournament.

Can any 4AA team beyond Hill win game one at the state tournament ?

When sections are done and your team lost, does it really matter when your team is done (quarter, semi, final at sections) ?

Is Peterson starting in net for FL vs WBL ? That's what I heard fishing today.[w/Parker & Egle]

I would be shocked if Peterson played that game. I would guess that he has some chances to play in the upcoming games against Woodbury and Park.

The SEC is turning into a total crapshoot..the last few weeks will be some battles and it's really anyone's conference to claim.

It looks to be a 3 team race.
Cretin, Hastings and WBL.
A case could have been made for MV early in the season but they look to be on the way down now. WBL wins the SEC and goes on to lose to Hill in the section 4AA final.

Thats what she said

The SEC is a fun race to watch. WBL seems to be rounding into form. Could it be another HM v WBL 4AA section final? Can't wait!

Really getting tight now, If WBL wins on Tue., there will be 3 or 4 teams within 2 points of the lead with 4 games to go.

CDH will find out if this run they are on is real or not this week:

Tuesday at EDINA; they lost to STA 6-1 early in the season, will this be the same lopsided game?

Thursday vs White Bear Lake in what may determine the SEC conference champion; White Bear took the first go round 5-4

Looks like Cretin will win the SEC. I don't think even the mighty WBL team will have what it take to beat them next week. WB will get the #2 seed in 4AA and will give Hill a run for a weak 4AA crown..

If the #1 teams in the state wins 4AA, or if another team beats the #1 team in the state to win 4AA, how is that a weak crown ?

Hill will win state. Besides Hill 4AA is weak. It's not as weak as 1AA but its still a weak section. Hill will continue to dominate that weak section till they get a decent team in there to challenge them. They really should redo all the sections.

I guess what I'm saying is. 1 good team doesn't make a good section.

I wouldn't consider WBL a weak team. Moundsview and Tartan are not too bad either. Hill is definitely a great team, but if they meet one of those teams in the section final I would expect it to be a competitive game. This section is usually pretty strong, and by no means does it need to be changed. It was even stronger before Centennial was moved out 5-6 years ago. Also, I expect both Hill and WBL to have very strong teams next year. WBL is very young and will only get better. I don't know enough about the other teams in the section to comment on how they look next year.

I also think this section is overall stronger than 1AA and 8AA, and on par with 3AA and 5AA. I consider 6AA, 2AA, and 7AA the only deeper sections in my opinion.

This will always be Hills ticket to state and the Cubs will always be the team nipping on their blades. Lets hope they put STA in this section to give Hill a challenge.

STA should be put in 3AA based on location. Yes, as of late Hill's had a very good run, state every year since '06 besides their hiccup in 2011. For a while though WBL and Hill were flip flopping almost every year to see who would represent their section. They almost always meet in the section final, and 9 out of 10 times it's a competitive game. Obvious reasons why this is one of the best rivalries in the state.
