That overall top 10 ranking is pointless.
Anyone know anything about this program? #3 team in the 2001 ranking?
Northern Elite is the former Northern Wings. Very solid last year, will be even better this year.

I'm very cautious about Machine Black in our rankings system.
Any team that can draw from the Machine Orange is not really a rankable team by my standards. I know I may face some criticism for this, but a team is a team. One player per roster is how I choose to rank.

Because they always send 5 orange guys and that line scores all the goals

Nuts - they've gone to the nahc without orange players and won the aaa level last couple of years, that other so called elite teams don't win or do very well at. Usually only 2-3orange play with black and vice versa at other tourneys. They are their own team. [/quote]

What communities do most of these kids come from?

This very short clip sums up the perception issue with Machine Black:

If you want your kid to have "Machine" training and development, by all means play for Black. But, fair or unfair, if you want him to feel like he and his full-time teammates have accomplished something in the tournaments, it isn't going to happen as long as some Orange kids are there. Personally, I think having the Orange players added to the squad is a disservice to the Black players (who are fine hockey players in their own right).

It seems like most of the programs have multiple colors now. Legacy/MG-Black/Euro/Ice Edge yada yada....

You are right, the Black Players should have the same rights as the Orange Players!!! Would someone please stand up and sit in the front of the Orange BUS!!!
You people are unbelievable and a comic relief to me every spring and summer

No they are not. I know several family's on the orange and I know they play on the the black too. When my sons team played them last year they had 5 kids playing and I think they beat us by one or two and that line scored all the goals.. Still a good team, I would agree with that...

Then by this theory you need to reconsider ranking MG as they have used active roster players from other teams for tournaments i.e. USA Intl.

What is going on with the Ice Edge program? They are skating several teams at various levels, i.e. open and invite at Blue plus invite at Black. Is this just a money grab?

2004 Euro Red almost was up 4-0 going into the third against Miracle Gold 2004 team ended up losing 6-5. Says a lot about how good the Miracle Gold team is, but it was Euro Reds first ever game. Talent is there for the Euro Red 2004 team, looking forward to watching that team come together....

Nothing against the 04 Euro Red and their effort in the first match up of the weekend (they came to play and were fired up), but I think it was more a case of MG not clicking on all cylinders at the start of that game. The rematch in the ship was a much different outcome with MG winning 10-0. To be fair, I don't think Euro played near as well in the ship, yes nice team and they will improve as they are young and as dream indicated, was their first tournament together.
