Old Goalie, How is the girls season going in FL? Section champs last year, seem to be meddling somewhat this year. Before the season people had them as one of the favorites. Has 7AA ever been weaker than this year?

Don't disagree that 7AA may be down some this year, but don't think it is necessarily any weaker then some of the past years. Yes, Duluth and Cloquet are disappointments, but I can tell you Grand Rapids/Greenway is going to surprise some teams. They may be the best kept secret north of the PLEASE BAN ME. They have a legit D1 player that no one is talking about. I put my money on them to make the big dance.

That's interesting take, JB. Yes #7 is a very very good player, one has to wonder if that's enough to make it to the big show. Andover, and elk river top 2 seeds...both also have put GRG in their place. Although, GRG had to of played tough vs. Andover the other night;purely looking at the score.

Didn't Elk River throttle Grand Rapids?

Calm down on both fronts...how'd it go at NSP? Might want to check their record going into that game!

Not unlike a 2-2 tie versus a 3 win team or a 6-1 spanking to Blaine for the Elks. Its Andovers section to lose

That was my point earlier that 7AA might be at a all time low, the 2 seed tied CR? and they are better than GR. Where is FL in the mix?

WHO is the D1 player at GR? Only saw a period this year. Number is fine if you don't want to post name. Senior? Attending...? Thx.

I believe you I just haven't had a chance to see them play and unlike some here I can't keep up on the stats for every team! Love to see great talent come out of the smaller programs - I think it can do wonders for an entire program. (Ex. Gigi for Warroad) Best of luck to her.

Anyone have predictions on this section? Andover has the best goalie, Rooney committed to UMD. ER couldn't score on her in last game of reg. season. Flake a 5 seed, thought they were one of the favorites. Northern teams struggled with ER. Looks like a possible rematch with ER/Andover. Would that matchup be moved to an arena in the south? Final is scheduled for Mars-Lakeview.

yes if it a "southern" final game would be moved south..fogerty i believe. it's set up that way "just in case".
Should be interesting to see what happens Thursday.

alcloser-Been some off ice issuses [parents/coaches] My daughter is an 8th grader so it hasn't involved me, but seems to have been a distraction.

Thanks Old, Hard to find a team that doesn't have some sort of off ice issue, at all levels.

Elk River outshot Andover the last time they played 36-22. The Elks have been there before , they are more physical and Andover does not like to get bumped around. Elks 2-1 win in final.

They are not going to Duluth to play the game. Looking for the official southern site.

With no northern teams in it that makes sense. The MSHSL bracket is now showing Fogerty Arena in Blaine:
