They also recently losses their returning leading scorer Tommy Hall as he has decided to leave high school hockey and go and play with his older brother for Johnstown.

this should significantly hurt the crusaders' chances of making it back to state this year

Go to sections or to state and take the trophy by beating top shelf competition, not by whining to the point that half of the real competition leaves the Division.
Wow...............

I wouldn't put much stock in scrimmages, though egf probably is the better of the two.

agreed. you gotta think think that without their two leading scorers from last year that cathedral might not be able to live up to this ranking.

Having conversations with oneself is usually not a good thing, and makes people suspect you have an agenda.

I suggest you choose one username and stick with it.

There'd be plenty of good hockey at the A level w/o the private schools. Good grief!

Please share your "dark horse" speculations with "us boys".

And Marty, thanks for the clarification.

Cathedral will still be competitive without both Poganski and Hall. Obviously, the loss of Poganski will have a much bigger impact.

As for preseason rankings...they are just like throwing crap at a wall and seeing what sticks. Wouldn't be surprised to see SCC finish the season in the Top 10 or fall out of the rankings completely.

From what I've heard...they beat Moorhead earlier that day. Regardless, they were scrimmages and scrimmages have never really proven anything.
