Major props to Randolph for finding a way to win against a very hot goalie. Good fight by Cambridge.

TRF 3 Roseau 0
Did not see game but my brother said it looks like
if TRF can keep the puck to the outside and allows
their goalie to see the puck it will be tough to get
it by him.

Was it really 5 SHG for Edina in this one?? Should Centennial decline the penalty?

Alexandria 7, Little Falls 1. Shots on goal were 44-5 for Alexandria!

Or at the very least go into a "prevent defense" and try to keep it scoreless. ;)

Looking at the times of Edina's penalties and when they scored, only one of their goals was short-handed. Whoever put the "shorthanded" designation on the other four apparently got it wrong.

I heard back from an Edina dad that two goals were SHG. He could have gotten that wrong though.

ETA: Looks like Lee is right, only one was short and one may have been 4 on 4.

Roseau V/S TRF

It's going to be a long season for Roseau unless the first line can learn to play team hockey instead of individual hockey. It's tough to play 3 on 5 hockey with your first line the whole game, meaning Roseau plays with 2 defensemen and 3 lone rangers. Most teams have figured out, when they play Roseau, they can put 2-3 players on any of the first line forwards when they have the puck because they know they're not going to pass.

That's too bad as they have some very talented seniors.
I suppose they are all looking for the UofM or UND scholarship?

Need more than one line to go anywhere anyway, plus, Roseau is weak in defense this year.

Yeah, but lots of things change in that many years, for most any team.

Only really relevant at the time.
