Week 7 results:
I stumped a lot of you again this week, but 4 people managed 6 points: green4 and rinkrat 24/7, and GTTN all had 6, but northwoods oldtimer proved the best meteorologist and nailed the 27-degree temperature.
Also...sorry, Traxler, no points for predicting a weather postponement--no one gets points for the Rapids-Hermantown game.
In the overall standings, hockeyman84 remains tied at the top, but his new friend there is WHAFightingSaints. crw has moved within one points of the leaders, while a 2-point week dropped elliott70 into a 4th-place tie with blueblood. Lots of you are still in the race, though. OVerall standings:

Since the Brainerd-Alexandria game that was scheduled for Thursday has been postponed until tomorrow, I'm going to wait until after it to do this week's scores. I will have this coming week's picks up shortly, though.

Waiting for the result of the Brainerd-Alexandria game ended up doing nothing for us, as it ended in a tie--one of two among last week's games. Anyway, the winner of Week 8 is Zebos, with 6 correct picks and the closer guess to the total number of saves in the Blaine-East game (43). GordonBombay99 also scored a 6.
In the overall picture, WHAFightingSaints now stands alone at the top of the leaderboard. As usual, let me know if I've miscounted.
Also, BodyShots, I was nice and didn't penalize you for predicting the Hill-WBL game would go to running time.

Week 9 results are in...and with a cancellation and a tie, it wound up being a very messy one, as no fewer than 12 of you got 6 points.
The tiebreaker is also complicated by the fact that the Hub box score doesn't even have the right score of the BSM-SSM game. (Thanks, Hub.) But we'll stick with what they have, which is 31 saves for the BSM tender--meaning WHAFightingSaints is the winner. WHA is still the overall leader, though 2nd place hockeyman94 kept pace; those two opened up a little more space on everyone else, though.

Now, week 10 results:
We lost three games to weather, and three people managed perfect 7s: elliott70, Sats81, and greenway1969. The tiebreaker was the number of Warroad shots against EGF, which was 18; greenway's guess of 19 was easily the closest, so greenway wins.
Overall, hockeyman84 is back atop the table, one point ahead of elliott and WHAFightingSaints, and three ahead of blueblood.

Well...if I give half points for ties, everyone gets a half point, so it ends up being a wash, doesn't it? Not sure how that really changes anything, other than making me do more math...Sats81 wrote:Karl-

Awards ceremony time!
Adding games didn't do much to clarify things, as six of you tied with 9 points this past week. The tiebreaker also failed to break the tie: the number of shots was 35, and two of the tied people guessed 36 shots, while another guessed 34. So, our co-winners for the final week are Bleed Maroon and Gold, Traxler, and InYourFace09.

The tiebreaker also failed to break the tie: the number of shots was 35, and two of the tied people guessed 36 shots, while another guessed 34.
