I am not real familiar with Blaine, but questions I do have is on defensive / goalie side of things. It sure seesm like the Blaine has enough scoring power to play with anyone. However in a tight game can Blaines defense / goaltending win it for them?

Where did you hear it is broken? I just talked to a parent that is currently at practice and he said the MRI results were not back yet.

Can anyone comment definitively on the Josh French injury?

Nothing broken. Injury just needs time to heal. Hopefully should be back for sections.

That is certainly good news. He has had a great season and scored some big goals for this team. It's 3 weeks between the Blaine game and the section semi-final. Hopefully that is enough time to heal.

Any pre-season worry on HM goal tending appears laid to rest.

Yes Sam Illgen (pronounced eye-gen) has been a really nice surprise. He played JV sophomore year and split time. He sat on the bench behind Dugas last year. He looks like he put on some size since last year. He has been outstanding in some big games this year. He shut down some pretty good offenses in the 1st STA game, Wayzata, the 2nd Edina game and Blaine. He will be the key if there is a HM-WBL final. Wahlin and crew will get some scoring chances. He will need to make some big stops like he did vs. Blaine last week.

Had to choose between HM v Tartan or the Suburban East Championship. Went with the latter. But I heard thru the grapevine that Josh French was back already. Anybody confirm?
If so, that's huge. He's a big part of the team...captain...guy who facilitates and can score. Hope he's back

Good to hear. I've got a lot more confidence in Hill with Frenchy in the lineup. If I recall he's the only one who scored in last years title game loss to Edina. I like the top two lines they have with him in the lineup

Speaking of Josh French...looks like he has committed to playing for Minnesota State University-Mankato. Congrats young man!
