Cadets16 wrote:Honestly, it could be anybody in the state playing against Hermantown today and I would root for them. I want to hear Plante's argument that public schools are overpowered and open enrollment needs to be removed.

Also, if EGF wins the way this game is playing out, it'll show they can beat Hermantown with 4 men on the ice.

Well he better not complain today, he's getting all of the calls so far.

Last time the Green Wave were in the championship game, they got screwed by the refs.
Looks like it's going to happen again.

Last time Hermantown was in a championship game, they gave the game away.

Looks like it'll happen again.

1-0 Hermantown after 1. Its clear these two teams are the best single A teams in the tournament. Shots 9-5 Hermantown.

You say there were kids recruited to come to play hockey at Hermantown. You obviously know so much about the program name some. You can't. There is no open enrollment! So start your rumors that you can't back up!

Some weak calls, "yes". Discipline/control issues for egf, "yes". Let us see if egf coaches can get their team to play a little smarter in the second.

I'd have to see the penalties again so I can't speak to whether they're legit or not. But having 6 minutes more power play time than your opponent in the first period is going to tilt the advantage pretty heavily

Last time STA was in a championship game, they sandbagged the single A tourney to a title.

Looks like that can't happen again since they have to play the big boys now

EGF strikes twice to take the lead 2-1 early in the second period.

By the way, the 2 calls on Hermantown have been bogus also.

Settle him down and let them play

Have not seen Hermantown play too much this year. Did see one of their losses though and what struck me was that they lost their composure after going down and started taking dumb penalties. There is lots of time left here for them to come back if they don't get stupid. Great game to this point hope it keeps up the pace.

I've honestly lost count of Hermantown power plays.

Seriously, get rid of that one ref.

That last call against Hermantown was terrible also.

They can't even win with the ref's trying to give them this one...forget opting to AA. See if they can opt down to "a"

ugly ugly period for Hermantown. 5 goals for EGF and Hermantown outshot 15-6. In some odd way, they are lucky that period ended.
