Would be nice to see Warroad pull up their skirts and make the jump like Roseau did.

But they would not be opting down, just electing not to opt up as they are an A level by definition.Sats81 wrote:Oh, I thought they were opting down to 8A so they could make the X....oh wait, they would have to get by EGF then...nahc wrote:And of course the jaugernaut to 1AA to see if indeed the Jacks can win a few section games...:)

Green White: Maybe at some point Roseau and Warroad coop. That would seem logical if numbers become an issue. I suppose some egos would struggle to let that happen, but if it did then what are they going to do after racking up multiple AA state championships? I suppose they would have to go back to the way it was since it would be unfair to dominate the metro teams year in and year out.Green and White Fan wrote:You need to remember, Roseau doesn't feel it is making a jump because Roseau has proven over the years that they belong with the big schools. Warroad on the other hand had very little state tournament success until there were two classes. They had a few appearances, but many of them were through the back door as section 8 runner ups. We are all struggling in this area with declining enrollment and it is getting increasingly difficult to compete with the metro schools. Moorhead has powerful bantam and peewee teams and they are going to always be difficult to get through. I wouldn't suggest any of the 8A schools moving up. Someday down the road, Roseau may have to take a good look at what is best for the hockey program and there may be some tough decisions to make. The hockey landscape has changed and lack of numbers versus seemingly unlimited numbers will make the cinderella story even more difficult.
I heard Bemidji is moving to 3Aelliott70 wrote:8AA has 9 teams, we should keep Brainerd and lose Buffalo.
You'll have to excuse elliot. He gets so drunk off lumberjack kool-aid that he forgets what year it is.Traxler wrote:It's 2015...elliott70 wrote:But they would not be opting down, just electing not to opt up as they are an A level by definition.Sats81 wrote: Oh, I thought they were opting down to 8A so they could make the X....oh wait, they would have to get by EGF then...
