Well the way you said it made me laugh. And I'm from Elk River. I'll scoop some of the kids on this board and we'll get some flowers and things and come visit when he's ready.

For sure I do. For us this is just a distant idea. For some poor kid and his friends and the whole town it's a harsh reality. It's just the "Luke need money?" made me think of a Star Wars meets Michelle Tanner.

I also want to get on the well wishing band wagon, as no one probably feels any worse than I about Luke getting hurt. I was standing about 10 feet away, and I knew the second it happened it was not good. I just want to tell Luke that if there was any way I could see this outcome, I would have done anything to have stopped it. I also want to inform everyone that the NU player involved was not responsible for any of this. As a matter of fact, I have said many prayers for him also, hoping that he doesn't feel any shame or responsible in any way, as it was just a freak accident. Please know, Luke, that I am hurting inside, and am anxiously awaiting a speedy recovery!

latest word on luke is that he was able to move his left ankle in a circle, although he has absolutley no feeling. as our coach told us, you could stand there and prick his feet and he might feel the pain but have no idea where its coming from, so that information still isnt making it alll the way to his brain. the BIGGEST plus is that last night he was able to partially sit up for a little bit, although it did require doctors assistance. We still are not sure how much of his motion and and feeling he will get back but thats a good sign. We are all pulling for ya Luke, get well soon.

God Bless #12
